I know there is some pretty Pvp experienced people in this forum. So I want to ask : What are the cons of each class that I can take advantage of? For example how can I kill a thief who takes alot of dmg but keeps going invisible and teleports all the time with that shortbow skill?

I haven’t played that much in Pvp so I thought I would save some time and ask these questions here and not to try every class myself in Pvp.

Teleport (can teleport out of stun, fear, immobilize, stone etc)

Low cooldown healing skill (15 sec)
Some blocks cause conditions

Guardian
Powerful heals
Lots of blocking skills

Elementalist
Fast healer
Teleport
Mistform
Can have high dmg

Engineer
Lots of controlling skills
Can have high condition damage
Fast healer
Shrinking

Necromancer
Lots of condition skills
Lots of fear skills
Can have VERY high hp with lich form/plague and death shroud

Ranger
Long range
Can have high crit dmg
Can have high cond dmg
Pet can heal you fast from downed state
Invisibility

warriors are able to rally while in vengeance. perhaps he rallied, thus not dying. which would explain why you didnt receive a rally.

There is also a trait with Warriors

Discipline
Sweet Revenge – 100% chance to rally if you kill someone while in vengeance.

I hate playing Elementalist because they are so complicated

But usually when I like to try a new build I just join & spectate some 8v8 game and try to look for a good player and then copy his build.

Also you can record the player with some screen recorder software. if you want to learn how the guy is playing the build.

I suggest you do that.

I have been meaning to ask this for a long time.

It shows me that I made 54 356 damage (by my calculations) in the screen.
You can also see a 10k crit that takes away about 1% of his hp.

And its not just that sorcerer on the video but every enemy. It shows I have incredible damage on screen but on reality it sucks.

When I do kill shot with my Warrior it shows bout 4k dmg and takes about 35% of enemie’s hp.

EDIT : I have the “all longbow arrows pierce” trait so Its not that

How the hell does the gw2 calculate the damage?

Charrs are harder to play in Pvp (big target) than say Asura but the armor looks so much better on them.

Most of the things in Gw2 are for appearances sake

Don’t have the answer to your question. I have tried every class in pvp and light armor classes are in fact much easier to play than heavy armor.

I thought it would be cool to see some combinations of Pvp armors and how they are mixed.

I can start with my “main mesmer” wearing Almost full dry bones armor set. Guild banner as the back item.

Can I just say who doesn’t love the dry bones set. I personally think its the coolest light armor you can get (and you only need lvl20)

Necro with a mix of cabalist and drybones

And lastly my other mesmer with almost full dry bones except the helmet which is the dragon bash event item. Shoes and the hands are just normal default pvp items since it doesn’t change the look that much.

I would love to see some of your armor/dye combinations for inspiration
