Bauble Checklist for W2 Z3 (Storm Top)

I will just reaffirm I’ve followed this guide to a T and got the secret room achievement. My only guess is that, if there is indeed another bauble, it does not lay in a unknown secret room, otherwise why else would we already have the achievement. There must be an area to jump to somewhere.

It was too easy! Tribulation Mode complete!

Well, easy isn’t a work I’d use to express TM but I can understand the confusion in it’s use. Even with an infinite coin this isn’t easy, but you don’t have to worry about lives anyway. It does, however, horrendously test your patience, determination and memory to an extreme. For those who are willing and able to keep their inner rage monster in check, this can be construed as easy in the same way that any game is easy after you put many hours into it. However, you do need a certain frame of mind to complete this and a substantial amount of time needs to be invested in it.

Dont even bother going after chests in trib mode. More often than not they are impossible to get to and, besides, it’s trib mode, why are you trying to collect baubles in it?! =D

Hand not working - what do?

Concerning this door, I haven’t been able to figure this one out. Correcting the above post, this does not matter if you are on infantile mode, there just does not appear to be an obvious way through this barrier. The hand symbol is different with an arrow pointing down and the hand ability does not work. It seems to indicate there is a switch of some sort below but I haven’t been able to find anything that looks remotely suspicious (did find a dig site though).
Anyone been able to figure this one out yet?

(I have a hunch it’s something to do with the block puzzle below but it’s defeating my best efforts so far)

Just did a rerun of W2Z2. The first time I did it took a long time and was frustrating and extremely challenging. However, the second time I’ve run it, no problem.
People complaining about enemies are probably not paying attention seeing as you can see most of them a mile off. Learning the correct tactic to taking them down is vital in staying alive and they are EASY (Dodge assassin attack, whip, 2 hits, dodge, 1 hit) against 2 foes you can do the same and even bait their attacks and side step at the last moment. Ranged assassins are even easier once you have the old glove of wisdom.
The puzzles rooms are still difficult (block room/gong room) but it’s a matter of paying attention to your surroundings and making sure the area is clear before attempting anything.
I did run in to a couple of problems with the gong room seeing as there are a couple of transitions that are difficult but once you realise you don’t have to completely follow the gong, it became easier (You can skip some of traps by jumping them from the top floor).

If it weren’t for the gong room I would have done this in 3 lives. Simply put, practice does make perfect.

ps. And if you get on the shortcut eagle, it will cut out most of the level depending on how long you stay on.

pps. W2Z1, for people complaining about not being able to hit crocodiles, you have more than a stick and, if you don’t, go back and get the cata, whip and bomb, you are given multiple weapons for a reason.

I have just finished a current run on world 2 with a friend. Sadly, we got all the way to the storm wizard then disconnected much to my annoyance but it was worth the time. I’m seeing lots of people complaining here over things I never had any problems with. Such as the rapids, hitting crocodiles, insta-kill mechanics etc etc.
I believe people are making huge mistakes in attempting to treat world 2 with world 1. You cannot rush it, you have to be methodical and really pay attention to your surroundings. Learn the tells of all the mobs and work out a tried and tested strategy and remember you have more than 1 weapon at your disposal! I’m looking forward to taking on the storm wizard again and being able to take him down.

Well done Josh, this content has provided a huge challenge to the game with a difficulty that matches some of those games in the era pass.

(ps concerning the above posts about that crocodile, use the slingshot from the shore then jump across – and if you don’t have the slingshot, go back and get it! It’s invaluable)

IMO Toss Crab minigame isn't fun!

in Last Stand at Southsun

Bevian.8973

I have no problems with the mini-game. In fact, I quite enjoy it. Those complaining about not knowing what to do should wait a moment when they join and actually read the pop up box that appears. I would also recommend you take time to hover over your skill bar to see what everything does since it clearly states rush is a hold down skill.
Lag hasn’t been an issue for me since the patch hotfix nor is there any siginificant amount of skill lag.
As to people raging about the karkas, perhaps spend a second or two actually looking at the surroundings before blindly rushing after the crab – it’s a tactic people use against you. Despite what people will say, I find that this game is highly enjoyable and tactical as well – if you are running with many hatchlings behind you and out of dodge, consider passing the crab to the player behind you, the knockdown will stun them for a couple of seconds and the hatchlings will do the rest of the work or perhaps pass it to the player with the least score.
The whole point of this minigame is a chaotic melee where you have to think fast and try and use whatever is at your disposal to ensure you win. It’s not meant to be a polished, fluid game – it’s a rough, unorganised game that, thematically, fits in perfectly.

Upgrading &building siege NEEDS to reward WXP

in WvW

Posted by: Bevian.8973

Bevian.8973

I feel that Building/repairing siege and Upgrading should reward XP.

For the building/repairing wxp, I suggest it should be 2 supply used = 1 wxp. This way it means people won’t just use keep and towers supply as it’d be too much effort for little gain. What it would do though is reward those of us who aren’t on the front line but still doing vital tasks.

Upgrading is a bit more tricky and could be abused by people paying for wxp essentially. I’d say code the wxp to the ‘Protect Workers’ or ‘reinforcements incoming’ quests that crop up once you queue an upgrade. Only when the upgrade is succesfully completed are you credited with the full wxp associated which maybe should be the supply required for the upgrade.

Just my 2 cents
