I main mesmer/war with champ titles in both since month 2 of gw2’s launch

I can play any kind of mes/war you need me to (pls dont ask me to play shoutbow cause it makes me sad, but ok fine), but have played tourney shatter and gs/lb since day 1 on both those chars

I can also effectively sub as a power necro if needed. While the afore mentioned are the classes I can perform with, I do play every class off and on to better understand mechanics/current state of the meta.

I was probably one of the most zealous fans of GW2 when it first came out, but due to my competitive circle not taking as much of an interest in the game as others such as WoW, i’ve phased in and out of GW2 activity.

I’m looking for a group of competitive people who’d like to play with me between typically 11 pm-4 am mtn time (10-3 pst 1-6 est) on the days that I work. On my days off I typically play for a good span of 4-8 hours any time of the day. I work in management in the hotel industry so i’m pretty irregular with my schedule unfortunately so i’m not the easiest to coordinate with, however i’m basically just looking for a group of competitive minded players who would like to group que and if the aspiration/ability is there, pursue tournament play. I have plenty of tournament experience and strive for top percentiles in every game I play, (rank one solo(lol) for a month and top 100 team rank on the old ladders, glad titles in WoW, diamond sc2 for multiple seasons, top ratings in Wildstar for all of 2 weeks it held people’s interest, etc)

My first reaction is to demand people be experienced and top players at your class if you message me, as I have been spoiled with skilled team mates since day 1, but what I honestly need is just a group of people willing to learn/seeking to improve with competitive aspirations who can save the rage and tears until after the game is over and enjoy the game as much as I do. I bring map/mechanical awareness to the team and you can count on me to not over extend, rush 1v3s in mid, and i’ve been known to be a capable duelist (also knowing which classes I need help for or cant contest a node vrs). You can count on me to communicate effectively, calling for help as soon as I can see the node is going to flip, calling when i’m about to go down, whether I can/cannot stomp/res, and of course incs.

I guess you’d call me a casual competitive player, looking for friends who understand work/life balance but still want to play top tier when you do game. PST me forums or in game if you’re interested, or if you need any screen caps for the info above. Thanks

our original team fell apart due to schedule inconsistancy/other gaming obligations what you should know is that we’ve been playing together since launch and are all experienced in tpvp with all of us having heavily focused on the top end competitive side to the game. We can all at least duo class and we expect you to be able to as well.

Class wise we are looking for something with either decap and hold potential or a tanky presence in team fights. If you can bring enough dps with high mobility we may consider a glass team with high roaming PST in game or reply here if interested

I am the rank 1 hes talking about in this post i believe, I can tell everyone here, I dedicated a crap load of time to this game when it first released and have more tourney games than I do hotjoins, that being said this was all way back before solo ladder came out, and while I did compete in top tier spvp, no I wouldnt say my “skills” are what are keeping me afloat on this leaderboard atm. My win records usually go more like win 6-9 matches and then lose 1 and tank 30 ranks. I would imagine whatever bizzarre feature is keeping me on this leaderboard has something to do with hidden match making values. I used to have competitive dreams and aspirations in this game, but most of those died when my team quit.

I dont dedicate nearly as much time to this game/leaderboard as i used to, or even compared to the other players on that board, so something is funky.

I’ve been away for awhile and I play only periodically, but the last 7 tournament games i’ve won across 2 characters I haven’t received victor chests even after waiting the full duration past the game end screen- was this changed in a recent patch? sorry if this is something obvious, i couldnt find anything in release notes that i browsed

edit: for that matter i didnt recieve any glory either, started a tourney with 112 glory won and ended it with 112 even though i had top score+a glory booster

Pretty sure there is no solid way to break into leaderboards reliably without having both skill, luck(lots of it) and a decent build, its a pretty messed up system if you ask me

aaand pretty sure im rank 2 about now this is over the span of about a week, i was also rank 6 like last month and… like in the percentiles 2 weeks ago. Its pretty erratic and jumpy and def needs some review

Good video, im curious why u running mass invis as ur elite, instead of time warp though o0.

It depends on whether or not your team wants to run with Time Warp, tbh Mass Invisibility is my preferred elite for 1v1s, and when a mesmer is side node duelist its important that they are able to consistently 1v1 whatever comes to them. Not to mention mass invisbility is nice for team resses, that being said Time Warp is still the better team utility, but mass invisi on a side node makes sense to me

Play times: I work in the hotel business, and there is a lot of on call shifts, that being said I play for extended periods of time every day(4-9 sometimes more) depending on what kind of shift i get. I’ve played WoW since vanilla(2 time warlock gladiator), Rift(rank6 and 40 cleric), and SWTOR extensively while achieving diamond in SC2 for the first season, when I play a game I just naturally seek to be the best I can be, competition is enjoyable for me

Profession: Mesmer(main with with 439 tourney games)/ele/engi
Build:I currently play Sword/pistol/GS 20/20/0/0/30 shatter build, but I had also created an effective node holder build that leaves me with no burst, but with an almost unkillable dodge/condition removal supply

About my PC Specifications:
Mid tier pc, I play on low settings etc, you wont have me dcing because of anything with my comp or internet frequently by any means

I’m looking for an established team/guild that needs someone who can come in and just follow directions/meld with the team. I’ve been the shot caller for all teams I play on for the past 5 years of my competitive gaming, and I simply no longer enjoy being the one in charge of formulating strategies/calling shots. I will follow instructions given to me well, and will give my insight when asked for it, but the team I join should be established in the sense they aren’t looking for someone to create all their strats for them, as I am trying to avoid that scenario.

Due to the more than likely widespread bug of salvaging tiger tokens from priory and vigil hammers now, players ranks 1-39 have access to rank 40 gear. Game breaking? no, but it kind of cheapens tiger rank players’ rank value.

Cuddy Kwoo is looking for new bff’s to have wonderful, fun, and magical times with. Primarily, we’re looking for players to expand our tourney roster so that we can have premade tourneys going more often. We’re looking for players who are comfortable in PvP, you dont have to be amazing like kanye, but we’re dedicated to PvP and actively seek to improve ourselves and expect the same commitment from you.

-Must be able to take criticism, i’m going to yell at you if you suck, and i’ll probably viciously degrade you in a humiliating manner so that you don’t mess up again. Constructive? no, but fun none the less

-We’re all pretty tight knit and have played multiple mmos with eachother, if you arent looking to be part of a warm cuddly family, we might not be right for you

-We use skype to communicate how angry we are at the world and how much we hate each other, its best if you have skype so that you can be subjected to our anger when playing

-Asura and Charr only. I MIGHT make exceptions for the inferior larger races if you fit in
