never mind still had to change name after couple minutes but still glad i didn’t have to wait out that 3 day ban ;]

Ok here is the whole story i was 3 day banned 2 days ago becasue of my ign but then i sent in a ticket asking to get it lifted it didn’t help but i got a email saying “Your account has been comprimised” even though it wasn’t whatsoever i wen’t along with it and filled out the information needed to recover my account so hours later they sent me and email back saying my account has been cleared and i can use it even though my 3 days isn’t up i can play now but my names are still the same…can i change them so i don’t get banned again?

Considering how a player becomes attached to their character, having a forceful character name change and a 3 day ban does leave a very foul taste. It can be avoided by reading the naming policy and abiding by it as best as you can.

Putting a 3day suspension on issues like this isn’t the best way. Yes it is a disgusting name to look at, but it isn’t that much of a big deal. The best solution for this case is an automatic name change. If he doesn’t listen 3 times then he deserves the 3day suspension.

I agree if i would of gotten some sort of warning or shorter suspension i wouldn’t be as upset seeing how i just got the game two days ago and now i can’t play it :/

They do but when i mean cm’on a 3 day ban for such a thing is just awful maybe i wouldn’t be so mad if it was for like 24 hours but 3 DAYS

And I suppose you got your driver’s license in real life by not reading the rules? And yeah I did read the rules. I know Anet’s reputation of strict policies. If you don’t learn the rules one way, you gotta learn them the hard way.

no because something like that actually matters unlike this which is a video game and is men’t for pleasure and fun seriously games mostly stop you from using a bad name before your even able to make a character and others ask you to change your name before logging back in if its bad never have i been banned let alone for this long for something so stupid

I can’t believe i just got banned for 3 days because of my name without any kind of warning or system preventing me from using such a name in the first place like seriously that’s dumb…the names isummondeadbabies idc how bad a name is for a first time offence a 3 day ban is ridiculous
