I need to know if this is by design or not (like a fee for making a listing?)

I put an exotic Sam for sale on the market 2 days ago, noticed it was going much cheaper the next day so i decided to make the price more appealing only to find i lost roughly 20 gold by doing so…at that point i hadn’t realised what had happened until i logged in today wondering why i had 84 gold rather than the 105 i had last time i logged in. Checked to see if my sale had gone through only to see cheaper listings so i decided to drop my price again and my gold went from 84 to 66….Is this a bug? or is it by design? I’ve just lost 40 gold and I’ve no idea why!
