Guild Wars 2

Hey guys, I saw in another thread a possible solution, one that has worked for me until Arenanet fixes whatever got broke. Either select a shortcut you have for Guildwars 2 or make a new one. Right click on the shortcut and go to properties. at the end of the target line OUTSIDE of the quotes put -windowed. There should be a space between the last quote " and the -windowed. Rename the shortcut if you wish, whatever. Now try to run the game from this shortcut. For me it opened up just fine in a window and i was able to drag the sides of the window to fit my screen. It’s not quite the same as full screen but its better than nothing.

Ugh. Same issue as the 3 people above me. Running on windows XP. The game used to run fine but since the latest patch update when I try to start the game the clent starts fine and login works fine but as soon as I press play the screen starts flickering and the title bar flashes at the top of the screen. I can hear the main menu game music but thats it. Task Manager doesn’t help at all as I can see the program in it but cannot interact with it. I’ve tried running the repar and deleting the local.dat file but so far no success. I was counting on being able to play some on my days off work. Guess not. -_-
