Guild Wars 2

I used a Transmutation Splitter on my back item hoping to get back the Holographic Shattered Dragon Wings skin and use it to turn them into a SPvP item, but instead it gave me a yellow back item with no stat that can only be transmuted with Transmutation Crystals.
Is that how Transmutation Splitters are supposed to work on actual skins?

I recently got a Mesmer to 80 and used CoE tokens to buy and transmute an armor set. I then replaced the runes with ruby orbs. However, it seems that my illusions will sometimes spawn a golem when they get hit (which is the bonus for having 6 runes of the golemancer equipped) even though I am no longer using these runes and illusions aren’t (to my knowledge) supposed to be affected by rune bonuses.
