Error 7 with a dash of traceroute

Below is a cut/paste of a tracert I started as soon as I got kicked. I’ve done several and each time, it is pretty much the same. So does 64.25.xx.xx belongs to guildwars 2? ‘cause if so, then please fix it. My ISP has been cleared 4 times now. My cable modem is new as a result of that. My wireless router, also brand new. All drivers are updated. For everything. I’ve opened up the ports manually, i’ve port forwarded. I’ve disabled antivirus, firewall, etc. Its been over a month since i’ve had this problem and i get 3-5 minutes of play before suffering a disconnect. Someone with tech savvy please explain what the traceroute means.

No way in hell i’m letting this post drop to the second page. I can’t play for over a month now due to the constant DCs. I took a chance and bought the game. Fine, fine.. but I think you Anet people should refund the 30 bucks i spent on the extra character slots.

My problems have become much more severe. I was previously being disconnected with the error 7 code every 3-5 minutes. Now its nearly every minute.

Anyone know if this is a realm thing or a guild wars 2 thing? I am completely sure its not my ISP (3 tech visits + 1 quality assurance manager) or equipment (all brand new and updated just to play this game).

Any fresh thoughts on how to fix it?

Adding my name to the list.

I have disconncted twice since signing into the forums to post this.

I’ve had this problem for well over a month now. My ISP has sent out techs 3 different times AND a quality assurance guy. They’ve replaced my modem, changed out everything from the ground block in and have checked out the tap. Everything is fine with my internet; however, i STILL get disconnected from GW2 every 2-5 minutes with the error 7 code. None of the fixes suggested on the forum have done anything to address the problem.

The game is excellent and by far the best MMO i’ve played (and i’ve played them all since UO and EQ). I dropped over 100 dollars for this game and 3 extra slots and I feel completely ripped off. What’s more disheartening is the low number of dev responses to the issue even after 15 pages of complaints and this thread being at the top of the first page since the beginning.

I’d much rather prefer ArenaNet telling me that they have no clue how to fix their problem but they’re still trying on a daily basis than the occasional “we’re still looking into it”.

I have now been disconnected 4 times at the end of this post.

Fix this. Now.
