Because of people like me, perhaps. :P I am a fresh level 80 and I am still aimlessly wandering around wondering where I should pick up from or what to do. This thread tells me to relax.
Hey guys. I added this text “-assetsrv 62.154.232.187:80” to the end of the target location of my GW2 shortcut, and restarted it. It then downloaded a 3mb/s and finished in a few seconds.
Example, target location now reads: “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -assetsrv 62.154.232.187:80
