Sounds kinda douchy to take an apology and spit in someones face.
Its like someone saying “Sorry we kittened up.” then punching them in the mouth.
People are still complaining, but they need to get over themselves now, I mean, the fact they even addressed it is good enough, and the extra character slot now just sold it for me.
I wanted to personally thank Anet for taking time to listen at the anger of the fans, and that they understand the frustration it had.
Hope you guys have good luck on the Expansion, i’ll hopefully be able to purchase it once it comes out if I have enough money XD
Not to mention, the mass scam of selling the game, giving you only the base game, then suddenly switching their policy to “OH WAIT, NOPE, YOU ALSO GET IT FREE.” How major a blunder in corporate greed.
I’m just going to say, that if people stop making forums about the problems with this pre-order, then they won’t listen.
Obviously, they aren’t listening now, and of course, not buying it is the largest part.
If you’ve seen wooden potatoes video, then yeah, you can tell why no one is friggin happy.

Yeah, but still, its less about MONEY for me, its more about the lack of respect for the people who have, you know, been keeping the company afloat for the past 8 years.

Thats actually what I meant when he said cold hard economics, that was kittening awful. That did NOTHING to you know, actually solve the problem. It was an awful thing to do, and really messed up. That made me more angry than anything, that the developers would begin taunting angry users about a fair argument?
I’m glad you’re here responding. It was hard for me to read his comment to you. I’ve made my fair share of stupid purchases (not too many, but a few), and felt stupid about them. I don’t think I’ve ever had someone essentially laugh at me about something stupid that I purchased from them. I felt violated by that joke.
I’m actually downloading Final Fantasy XIV right now. You know, it hurts, it hurts bad. I played gw1, I went through an adventure where the company supported the loyalty of the player, now, it seems to be gone. Forsake this land, for now anyways. I’ll of course pop in to play with my friends in GW2, but, unless they make an actual answer, and not just mock their users, then, they aren’t getting as friggin dime out of me.

Everyones angry, and I agree with them.
Old players SHOULD GET SOMETHING if they’re paying for the base game, and the expansion, when a new player only has to pay for the base game.
I payed 40 dollars for this game.
Now, I need to pay another 50, and someone who hasn’t bought the game only has to pay 50.
Show your support with your wallet, people, DO NOT BUY THIS EXPANSION if you you feel this isn’t right. Bad business is bad business. I love GW, I have been a fan of it for years, but this is low as hell, and its mostly because they’re bagging on the original players. If it was 50 dollars, and it gave things to Original players to make up for it, like a character slot, the extras, ect, then i’d be fine, but, this is just scummy. People say its the cold world of economics, but economics ain’t always right. Vote with your wallet.
Even then however, I kinda like the idea of just having a schizophrenic Revenant who is having a lot of problems keeping their legends in check.
So, I was reading the Guild Wars 2 news stuff when you log in, and it said something about Role Playing as a Revenant. I like the idea that they’re presenting with this whole “The Legends are still alive” idea. Though, i’m wondering how far they’re willing to take it!
They were talking about having the Rev have almost like small time chatter with the Legends, or just the Legends themselves talking out loud. But, I saw that the Rev will probably only have two slots to put Legends in at one time, so I was thinking, why not have the two Legends talk to each other at the same time?
I know it would cost a bit more, but I was thinking how cool it would be to hear Mallyx bicker with Jalis or Ventari, instead of just having to talk to themselves. Like, for each grouping, some small talk will happen between the two for each pairing.
I dunno, I just thought that’d be actually pretty cool to see XD, I know it would obviously take place more in the form of just RPing in general, such as the player creating the conversations, but i’d thought that’d be neat.
What'll happen to skill point specific items?

So the new patch notes came out, and they said they’d be removing skill points and exchanging them to hero points.
But what happens to the items that we use to craft legendary that require skill points, like Bloodstone Shards, or Eldrtich scrolls?
If they aren’t going to be used anymore period, will we get anything special for having these items?
So, you’re sitting around, and have about 100 or so gold, and want to invest in it somehow.
Well, I came across an interesting NPC named Prospector Wren, and he sells boulders.
Thats it.
You can’t sell them back, you can only toss them. For 50 COPPER you can buy your VERY OWN boulder. You know how many boulders you get get for 100 gold? About 21400 boulders.
Go, go out, and get your boulders, become a boulder baron.
I was having a problem with trying to activate Guild Chat, in a way that I couldn’t talk in chat even if I was representing. I found out you have to go invisible, which crashes the game, then go online, to talk.
That’s a pretty huge issue when you’re trying to coordinate and you have to restart your entire client to fix it.
Also, i’m not sure if this is a bug or not, but the loading screens are now super small, like the load in art is only taking a small portion of the screen, and my U.I where my level bar is just black now. I’m just asking since it just seems kinda weird for it to change to orange to pitch black, and it seems kinda out of place? Then the image thing.
If anything, I think the loyalty and how much time you’ve got into it is going to be the biggest thing. People who have Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2 are probably going to be higher on the list, and people who are more senior to the game of Guild Wars 2, such as 1 or two or three years, are going to be more hand selected.
So, the beta is coming out soon, and a few people are going to be selected, I really wonder whats going to happen and whats going to come out of it!
What are you guys expecting to come from the Beta? Any hopes?
Personally, I can’t wait to see some of the new mechanics, such as the hang gliding, which seems really cool. I just hope I get picked for it XD.
Iv’e noticed the missing of several old sets of armor that once used to be PvP only, but ever since the most recent patch that removed several PvP features and combined the skins from both PvE and PvP, I was wondering where these armors have gone?
I haven’t heard of anyone getting any of this PvP gear unless they already had it, and the boxes that you can now get in PvP tracks don’t give them.
As I know, they are removed from the game, but does Arena Net have any plans to put these armors back into the game, supposedly like on the reward tracks for areas like the Maguuma jungle track for the PvP Masquerade armor?
Or do they plan to keep these PvP armors as collectors items only?
It would be a shame to see that you can’t get these armors anymore, as several of them looked really neat.
