I have a pretty large interest in your guild.
I am happy to answer more questions, but as I probably won’t be home until lateish tomorrow (8-9pm central most likely) I’ll leave some info and you can see if I mesh with the ideals.
I’m a 31 year old college student/husband/father/gamer (expecting ~2 more years to graduate with a computer science bachelors); Approximately a 15 year veteran MMO player (I played fairly cutting edge/server top 3 guilds in EQ2, RIFT, Wildstar,, Neverwinter and Ragnarok Online over the years and semi-hardcore played WoW and about 5 other MMO’s in the last 15 years.) Amongst those list are a fair few action MMO games, so although guild wars 2 is still new to me, I’m not foreign to the concept of the game style. I usually balance somewhere on a line between semi-hardcore to semi-casual as far as mentality is concerned. I’m generally a pretty chill guy, always looking to group up with friendly faces and get to know people better. My interest is primarily PVE but I don’t mind mixing it up in PVP as well. (Haven’t done any serious PVPing since Warhammer Online though)
As far as Guild Wars 2 is concerned, I am more or less a brand new player. I bought Heart of Thorns and started 12 days ago. Within the first week, I hit my first 80 toon (and level boosted a second toon as there really is only a couple classes that really interested me).
I have a Warrior & Thief. As of right now, the thief is pretty much stock level 80 token out of the box. No extra skill points in daredevil or anything. The warrior was my original character and is my main as of right now.
My warrior is wearing mostly (but not entirely) exotic items;
Full Armor Set – Exotic w/ Superior Sigil of Might (runes donated by friend)
Exotic Greatsword – Superior Sigil of Air & Force (Lightning Bolt & 5% damage)
Exotic Earrings (Level 80)
Exotic Necklace (Level 78) < Have 15 laurels, saving up for Ascended Necklace
Back / Rings are all level 80 rares.
I still haven’t really picked up an axe/mace yet as I’ve been playing primarily GS+Rifle solo up to this point. (And when I have partied up I just stick to my GS primarily and hold onto rifle to deal ranged damage when melee isn’t ideal)
As of posting this, the warrior is currently 14 skill points away from maxing out the Berserker elite specialization as well. (This has been my #1 primary goal since hitting 80 .. kind of paired with HoT story progression to gain necessary masteries for HoT. I have Gliding 2, exalted markings, bounce shrooms and i’m currently working towards Nuhloch tunnels)
