Forget what I said before, the time when I put in my ticket I was having a lot of issues with my connection. So latency and packet loss made a lot of sense. I reset my router and modem and my internet went back to normal and passed all tests for packet loss. I figured that would take care of it but with Guild Wars 2 I am still disconnecting every 5 to 10 minutes. I’m not having problems with anything else. This has to be an issue with the servers.
I put in a support ticket for this issue yesterday and it turns out that it was my ISP. My connection is having packet loss, which is know to cause issues when it comes to online gaming. Try using a program like Ping Plotter to test your IP while playing Guild Wars 2 and see if it’s the same problem as mine.
