Let me start by saying I’m a huge Guild Wars lore buff, but I am also a huge statistics buff.

That being said I’d like to suggest the option of having transmutable accessories and the ability to transmute flavor text boxes onto other items.

As a lore buff I love the heart vendor accessory items because they allow me to sprinkle flavor text and lore into my character. However, these items are strewn across the world and have vastly different stats based on where I found them. I would like the option to use transmutation stones on these items to preserve their icons and flavor texts without sacrificing their statistics. I’m sure you know that as it stands, if I want to maximize my accesories I must move to Orichalcum jewlery. While I am slowly moving that direction as I collect Globs of Ectoplasm I find myself torn between which item I can bear to replace next, my copy of Captain Greywind’s biography or my tiny piece of a Searing Crystal I recieved in Ascalon.

The change is minor, and it is in the grand scheme of things, fairly insignificant, but can’t I leave the base named and stat’d equipment to the PvP side of the game? While I love my +92/63/63 Coral Orichalcum Ring of the Rampager, my Hero’s Band still holds a fond place in my heart.

Of course no one but me would be able to see these things, but isn’t the purpose of transmutation stones supposed to be that you can have the best of both worlds? That you can have something look the way you want and give you the bonuses that you want?

Secondly, and coupled to the my first suggestion I’d like to suggest the implementation of flavor text as their own transmutable block. I love that I can pick up the blood legion shield at level 3 with my Charr in the Plains of Ashford, and through transmutation can take that same shield with me all the way to the Gates of Arah at level 80. I only wish that the shield’s inscription “Win at any cost” was able to come along with it. As it stands flavor texts on heart vendor items are merged with the stat block of the item. I would like to see them separated into their own column so that they may be transmuted onto other items. Though this suggestion will lead to the possibility of some very mismatched items and quotations, I feel that it is a good thing which adds to the personality and personalization of players’ items and loadouts.
