Serenity In The Midst of Chaos [SIMC] is a social guild of around 300 members with a wacky sense of humour. We are a casual group that gathered to make friends and to share a laugh or two, while we waste our youth and talents away on GW2.
 
We are always happy to meet more friendly and fun-loving players. It doesn’t matter if you are a newbie wandering around Queensdale like an innocent lost lamb, or a veteran who no longer knows what else to do in the game but can’t stop logging on. You are welcome to hang out with us!

 
~Activity

The majority of guildies are from SEA/OCX, with our peak activity period being from 8pm – 12am GMT+8.

Catch the occasional fractal and dungeon groups during this period, and the random offbeat chatter.

 
~Guild Hall

Our Gilded Hollow is at the max level thanks to contributions from guildies. Reflecting our inability to take ourselves seriously, it is… oddly decorated.

Take advantage of the various buffs and resources. Discover the multiple jumping puzzles created by guildies and contemplate on the mental state of the people who built them.

 
~Staying Connected

For those who can’t get enough of us, we have a Facebook group and a Telegram chat group, so that the guild chat haunts you even when you are not on GW2. Join with caution.

 
~Joining

Generally, you will be a good fit if you:

- Are looking for a main guild and willing to represent SIMC most of the time;
- Have a sense of humour without being disrespectful of others;
- Are mature enough to be comfortable with adult content on guild chat (18+ suggested).

Our doors are always open to all friendly players!

 
We are a semi-casual guild raid group that gather to raid on Mondays, 9.30pm (GMT+8), with additional runs on Wed and Fri nights. However, we are often short of raiders to form a full guild group, so we are looking for more raiders to join us.

 
Our Raid Group

Our group consists of people with varying degrees of raid experience. At our current level, we are fairly consistent at VG, Gors, Escort, and Trio, with unpredictable performance at Sloth and KC.

We are at a good place for new raiders who want to train and progress with us, or for experienced raiders who want a more casual atmosphere during raids.

 
What We Are Looking For

As part of this group, we would like you to:

• Be an active member of the guild, as this raid group was formed so that we can raid with guildies and not with strangers (Info about the guild here);
• Be properly geared, minimally with ascended weapons and trinkets;
• Have knowledge of meta builds and the rotations of your class;
• Have knowledge of the mechanics in the raid encounters;
• Be able to accept feedback and strive for improvement;
• Be able to listen in to our Discord channel during raids.

If you are completely new to raids, we also expect you to:

• Have been able to do other high level PvE content, such as Tier 4 fractals;
• Make time to join raids for practice and seek out additional training runs on your own.

There will be a trial period to see if we are a good fit for each other. You will not be a good fit for this group if you have an arrogant personality, if you are unable to acknowledge your current shortcomings in raid abilities, or if you are expecting speed clears.

We have grown to be an inclusive, close-knit community with a whacky sense of humour, and we welcome more friendly and fun-loving players to be part of our family and make us their main guild.

⚝ Companionship ⚝

We started as a guild with members from Asia and Australia, and we are very active during night times in these time zones. Over time, players from other countries have joined us, and we now seek to expand our active hours in other time zones for them.
 
⚝ Guild Activities ⚝

- Guild missions – Sat 12:00 GMT
- Raids – forming regular groups
- Ad-hoc fractal/dungeon groups
- Casual WvW runs on Kaineng
- Forum and Facebook group
- Dancing naked in the guild hall (Not mandatory, but some guildies just like to do it)
 
⚝ Guild Hall (Level 60+) ⚝

Built by guildies. In addition to various buffs and special vendors for members, there are multiple jumping puzzles created by guildies waiting to be discovered.
 
⚝ Multi-cultural exchanges ⚝

Guild chat and voice comms are in English, but there are opportunities to learn broken Japanese or swear words in various languages.
 
⚝ Friendly, mature leaders ⚝

The guild leaders have long grown past teenage angst emotional storms, and bring a feminine touch in handling issues with sensitivity and in enhancing the stability of the guild.

 
We have very few rules and requirements. Generally, you will be a good fit if you:

Guildies come from Australia and Asian countries like Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, with a few night owls from North America and Hawaii, as well as from other countries.

While the experience levels vary greatly – from veterans to returning players to new F2P players – all guildies are very friendly, and we are just gathered here for a good laugh every now and then while grinding through the game.

 
Guild Activities

PvE – Call out on guild chat if you want to look for a group for fractals or dungeons, or get company on world boss train, or taxi onto a good Tequatl map.

PvP – Some PvP players start logging on around 14:00 GMT. If they know that you do PvP, they will bug you to team up with them.

WvW – A group of people on Kaineng server band together to do their WvW dailies at around 15:00 GMT.

Guild Missions – Held on Saturdays and Sundays, 12:00 GMT (12 hrs after server reset)

If you’re fairly active on guild chat, you will find that the regular players soon recognize you and you will make friends quickly.

Our guild chat is filled with entirely random topics. Some guildies are a little cheeky and throw in a dirty joke every now and then, so for this reason, we don’t suggest for very young players to join us :P
