I wanted red (not ginger or orange, honest to god red) for my human and thankfully they had a decent red. But I did feel the options for those of us who prefer a, let’s say less traditional hair colour were a bit lacking.
So I’m still pretty much a noob, got my thief up to lvl 27 and after trying multiple professions the thief is my favourite so far. Don’t get me wrong I found the mesmer fun to play too and the warrior is so powerful it’s like the game is on easy mode. MMOs have always included stealth with thief classes but what they have sorely been missing was a shadowstep mechanic which thankfully has been implemented perfectly in GW2.
So PVE wise, after a while messing with weapon combinations I came to the decision that the way for most situations was D/D death blossom and caltrops for taking out large groups watching multiple foes hobble around bleeding and poisoned while I watch them die and laugh. For single targets I often go D/P for the near permanent blindness. And for really tough melee foes I use P/D where I can kite an enemy eternally without ever getting hit (even if it takes a while to bring them down).
Any tips anyone can give me would be much appreciated
As for idea on how to improve the Thief, well, I have a few.
1. Multiple steal slots. Maybe we could have another steal slot on F2 so we could hold two stolen items at a time.
2. Sure it’s been discussed to death, but sword offhand would be cool and not unrealistic in my opinion.
3. This one is a long shot. But how awesome would it be to be able to customize the appearance of your summoned thieves?
Ok so those were my thoughts, tell me what you think.
