Stalwart’s armor is obtainable in PvE, as part of the personal story.

As is the “Commando” set. You will get a chance to select them as reward while completing personal story. (You must be a medium armor profession).

The subforum idea is nice but it doesn’t solve the “i didn’t read previous <ascendant material required> number of posts”. Also a “free for all” forum CDI section would just generate more of this threads and definitely cause more fragmentation and chaos.

As the subforum idea goes, and i like it, i suspect it would need to be like one of the “News and Info” forum section. Anet make a CDI subforum, the currently CDI thread get open and sticked, no user can open new ones, as interesting topics come up on the main thread Chris open a new thread regard that. This is the only way i can think to have a productive subforum.

Please someone tell me that the new pick is Ascended, it would be too hilarious.

BTW i disagree with this gemstore item, unless:
-Every account gets a chance for a sprocket source (even after Origin of Madness)
-Reasonable priced consumable pick with the same effect get released (in game currency)
- It suffer the flamekissed syndrome and become a “normal” infinite pick.

I had been out of business more than a week and i lost track of the posts (thanks to Bezagron for his summary, helps a lot) , i’m sorry if someone already said something like this. I think that weapon variety and their skills are more a character determinant factor, subs are just going to be rated good or bad based on synergy with the builds and weapon traits are big deal when making one.

[Disclaimer, this entire post is pve wise]

I always wondered how much would be interesting to master weapons instead than classes for a hybrid horizontal/vertical/quality of life increase. Let’s say one could “master” #x skill trough a mix of quest and several reagents (new order mission reward and skill points?) to unlock it. Once unlocked the skill can be selected on the same slot #x of any weapon of the same kind (1h melee, 2h melee, weapon offhand, pure offhand etc…). Repeating this process could lead to a complete #1-5 custom selection. This would need some tweak regards animation but could be managed using some of the actual piece of existing skill and would also require some name altering.

The pros i can think about would be:
-From the simple time/material sink needed in the mastery competition to the ones spent in collecting more “skins” for weapon people previously didn’t use.
-Minor build tweaks without the need of a new weapon.
-More legendary becomes desirable, people could grab that legendary they always loved but used to sucks on his profession/build.
-It would ease the introduction on “new” weapons since the skill set won’t need to be strictly balanced as stand alone.
-At this point a single introduction like a new #1 chain could generate an entire new play stile (a condi guardian could be an expample)
-Close to complete controll over your character apparance and playing style.

On the other side there are some great problem. (for most could not find a viable solution)
-Meta-build: I would like to hear form some numbers guru the implication of a possible skill selection but i suspect it won’t, on average, be an excessive increase since most dps come from #1.
-Warrior F1: not sure… need help, pve wise they are a rare click.
-Ele and Engi: Heh, how about the poor dudes with no alternative (same kind) weapon? it would need new weapons in order to be viable, suspect would still be a mess with ele swap.
-No benefit to Staff, Scepter and pistol.
-Weapons like the ranger’s Axe pose a classification problem with related skill mixing results.
-Thief dual skill: it’s going to be hard balancing the #3 skill and it’s binding. This is a major problem as a main profession mechanic.
-Traits issue: are +% dmg, -% cooldown and special weapon effect traits going to work on the whole category or on the single original weapon skill set?

…Actually after putting together my toughs on “paper” it looks like a lot of work for a opinable addition. Still hope may be a spark for some better idea, maybe subclasses could obtain a exclusive 2nd skill set for some weapon?

I found most of rage and complains on the forum usually “stupid”, made by people with too many spare time, few real game knowledge and/or too narrow minded. I always analyzed them with a strongly critical approach finding only few of them to be really worthwhile. I don’t mean that AN is always right, and by my measure they already lost the grip on some important pillar.

However… this armor issue is far from defensible, as least as it has been implemented. I would had left a chance of discussing it if they added all the cultural at the same time for all the races.

It’s quite useless to tell here why the new asskissed.. i mean flamekissed sorry*, are a low blow for many players, most of the reasons are related the people themselves, their goals and feels. All things difficult to understand from outside (it’s enough difficult to understand that between player, i highly doubt it’s possible between a player and dev looking at the same thing at the same time) but… really speaking about “things that can fit a spreadsheet”, an upgraded version of a specific armor available for anyone at half the price and not requiring transmutations is very “rude”.

I mean that most people are feeling likes you’re saying “sorry dude, the cultural was looking like a good money sink and possible gem seller for stones however it doesn’t turn out as expected, instead we found a better way that works wonders. It sinks gold while increasing gems prices and it’s contributing with direct cash.”

“oh.. you said something? …120 gold… yellow armor… not skin, need transmutation… made a human for T3… Can’t hear you”

*and sorry again for the pun regards new and flamekissed… at least if you’re human…

ragazzi un aiuto con WTfast? mi lancia gw2 senza problemi ma gw continua a darmi connection failed…idee?

English forum, anyway it has been like that for 3 day from 15:00 GMT+1 to 24:00 GMT+1, it look like they are trying to work together now, you have no other option than wait or install WTFast (or similar service).

15:05 issue is back as expected, third day.

It’s official? (I don’t trust my ISP at all, tech support is embarrassing at best, let alone a FB statement)

Saying they are in touch with NCSOFT technician in order to solve the issue

isn’t possible!!!!! yesterday 12/11/2012 at the 2.00 pm i got lag, and crash permanent till the 2.00 am…………… today 13/11/2012 at the 2.30 pm the same thing…..with other internet applications i’ve got no problems how, can i do for play this game?

Same here, but started experiencing problem since 14:30-15:00. Look like it let me play smooth only during morning (thing that i won’t able to do from tomorrow)
