No, I tried both the queens (that you are supposed to feed) and the hatchlings, none of it worked. I tried several different queens, 4-5 I think, and the other players tried as well. It was still possible to finish the quest, but that part of the quest didn’t work.
Braxa Scalehunter, Champion’s Shield, Iron Marches has a quest where you should collect eggs, kill egg-thieves, and feed devourers. However, when you approach a devourer with food from the ‘devourer snack rack’, there is no option to feed them. This happened for me as a lvl 59 engineer, and a couple of strangers I met at the quest.
