Remember when engineer had a similar trait that only triggered below 25% leaving you vulnerable to conditions applied before activation? A trait that only had minus 100% duration instead of immunity? What ever happened to that trait and what was the reasoning for it?
EG#2 is stupidly useless, given the effort it takes to land it without the projectile-prediction being horribly off. This might be the buff it needs.
Eh, face it: They call it a rifle, but looking at the skills, it’s really more like a shotgun.
You do realize that the old range trait improved all skills right? This means that the breakpoints for increased blunderbuss damage were larger range, jump shot could be used to leap larger distances, and overcharged shot with 200 extra range was just that much easier to land. I guess you are only thinking in the PvE setting, where everyone is stacked in a corner; yes range wouldn’t matter there. But to say that the old trait had no effect on the shotgun-style skills is false.
I believe Anet might me scared to increase range because of jump shot and map breaking. That’s just my theory.
Trait “Cleansing Pulse” does not clear a condition on the engi.
“All heal skills recharge”
It’s bugged, what’s there to debate about? The cooldown may need tuning but that doesn’t mean it should be bugged on purpose for the sake of balance.
Can anyone get its auto-attack to cleanse when fired through light fields?

Edit, misread.
The “cleanse condition” is an aoe around the target you hit. You need to hit something and be close to it to get cleanse.
I don’t know why people are complaining about Mortar Kit vs Grenade Kit in PvE. Grenade kit has more hits and procs more vuln so it’s always the better option since all you need to do is stack around a corner.
As for the percent, they just chose a random skill (tool kit auto) and copied it. There was very little reasoning or logic involved.
