while maskaganda is right with his sum up, he is wrong on the bugged part.
Elixir S is supposed to make us huge when the stability trigger applies, so Elixir S is indeed bugged. Not in such a bad way that the stability prog does not happen, but the graphical representation of the skill is indeed buggy since the update. Then again, this is indeed a bug that is more than ok to get a delay on its fix… on the other hand, I am pretty sure since we “benefit” from it, the next patch will make it working as intended again.
I totally approve of engineer oola. the name is 100% with the law, since it is taken from a NPC, and putting engineer in front of it is absolutely asuraish lorewise.
My toons all are asura, males always come with Kreweman as “firstname”, female as Krewemember. As example I present my male engineer
Kreweman Bazz
and my female ranger
Krewemember Zooka
yepp, they sneaked in a pretty bad additional PvE/WvWvW damage reduction without the “need” to propperly address it, just by saying “PvE and PvP damage is equal now”, neat huh?
my main is and will stay my engineer. I do have alts that I play a lot in the last few weeks, and this will most likely not change now, though I hoped it would, but no, I will stay with my engineer for better or worse, mostly worse atm.
Don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll get a response as soon as the two interns working on PR get around to it. They got a lot to do atm though.
oh, I do not doubt that we will get a response, hence I wrote reasonable
We sure will get something along the lines
“Thanks for your feedback and we will see in this situation.” this however, is not a reasonable statement.
On a related note though is it just me or did grenade range get longer?
No, but the effect of the “Grenadier” trait also affects Grenade Barrage now.
thats actually the only good thing I have read about so far, and I guess it most likly is a bug that will be fixed by tomorrow lol
maybe a first step would be “hire more staff” if it really is true that only 2 (TWO) people work on profession fixes/balances…
maybe as of now its only one left, I guess anet will not be happy about jon letting that info slip out into the community lol
while I actually think that what they did to the ele weapons is nothing like a real “fix” at all, the mere fact that they did that before solving the kit issue is nothing but a slap in the engineers communities face.
If they would at least admit that they do not know how to fix that problem, it would at least be a start and would show that they are actually trying, but simply ignoring this issue is definately not the way to go.
what I find amusing is that the last “official response” in this part of the forum was closing a thread after two posts that asked
“Simple question, does the stat “when you swap to this weapon while in combat” apply to the engineer when switch from a kit to a weapon with this stat?”
I won’t even mention how underwelmed I am about this patch, but I will say that neither this thread nor this part of the forum will see a reasonable “official response” according the current situation of the engineer. anyone taking bets?
