I use 2 monitors on my Windows PC and I thought: It would be neat if Guild Wars 2 had support for multiple monitors. Not for expanding your view of the world around your character, but for viewing things such as the AH, inventory, and it could have a resizable map that would replace the minimap on your main screen – it could even be fullscreen.
A few real-wold examples: one could have the map open on their 2nd monitor to spot events, quests that are near them, and find their group members; they could move their mouse from the main monitor to the 2nd and move the map to find events, quests, etc. It would be extremely useful in WvW; and when in dungeons, it could display information about every encounter: show loot that will drop, show real-time updates on each stage for bosses, and could display information from the Wiki site in a RSS Reader style that only displays text in the paragraphs explaining in-game content for the game. It could also house your chat log, could display buffs & debuffs in more detail.

I think our server has given up on WvW. A third of our own Borderlands is under our control. I knew this was a bad idea, but I’m not going to complain since I’m staying out of it from now on. Regardless, I’ll always play Guild Wars 1 & 2, since it’ll always be F2P after you buy it; Something it will always have over WoW.
Getting to 80 right now isn’t as important now that I’ve stopped on WvW. Yeah, I can’t make my own way to Jormag at 66, but that’s what guildies are for
Great game, Arena Net. Didn’t mean to rip into it the way I did. I enjoy all the different stuff that’s introduced monthly, including Super Adventure Box.

What do you mean by glass cannons?
Ummm I don’t know about you but when I’m out pvping I’d target the higher ranks first and leave the lower ranks till last. Get rid of the greatest potential threat before dealing with the rest, logic no?
There’s logic, and a response, I love. But my problem is I’m 66, not 80, and I can’t be soloing it out by myself when nobody is there to escort me and a team of 2 worked out just fine usually. Yes, if I can find someone higher rank to run with that’ll be excellent.
Maybe I’m judging this too soon… I will give it more play time to see how it is. I’m not in it every day so I’m not as advanced in PvP gear as others out there are, but I’ll try my best.
These changes are horrible. Walking with 2 people means nothing anymore. You used to be safe with just 2, not knowing what you were going to get when you fought them. I can’t get anywhere without being slayed anymore because of my “recruit” title. Even if I’m with someone else a rank above me, an Assaulter will always have an advantage with their fantastic gear they’ve earned and will slay us every time.
These changes are the worst I’ve seen done to this game and I have walked away from Guild Wars 2 all-together. I’ve picked up WoW and probably won’t come back.
And for those who condemn this post, you all have legendary gear from these World points, before WvW titles or after regardless, and will have no problem slaying us over and over again – regardless wether we hate it or not.
I’ve thought several times about buying all kinds of bag space and bank space, more than just $10 worth. Not now that I’ve walked away.
I would like to see these World Ranks removed from the eyes of invaders/defenders. I, and a whole lot of other people, don’t want to be slayed repeatedly like this EVEN when in GROUPS with each other. When somebody kills you in 3 hits, it’s EASY for someone to look at our newbie ranks and decide to kill us. It’s ridiculous.
The idea of World Ranks is a great one, but to show our ranks to our enemies is a bad idea.
First of all, after 6 months of this system and everyone levels out, all the 80s with Legendary, or Exotic, gear are the top Rank, and newbies – even if level 80 – to WvW will be Recruit, or the lowest World rank available – and means they’ll get picked on and killed repeatedely by the top-ranked guys with Legendary gear. Now for people who have Legendary gear, this might not be a problem. But for someone like me, and a whole lot of other people, this IS a problem. WvW is filled with enough Thieves, now we’re going to have Warriors slaying us to bits.
Another thing, I see this being used. What I mean is, there could be a top-ranked lvl 80 Warrior with Legendary gear hiding behind a corner with a Recruit being used to stand in a wide-open area to draw someone in, only to be finished off by the top-ranked lvl 80 Warrior with legendary gear.
I see this as a bad idea to let our enemies see our rank. I’m all for a ranking system, but letting our enemies see it produces a lot of problems.
EDIT:
2 of us, both above 60 – he was 80 w/ world explorer, I was 65 – were on a road to a Supply Camp in WvW when a Emhry Bay Assaulter, or Invader, decides to kill us by looking at our drastically low World Ranks. He – and I and my buddy after the confrontation – knew that he/she could have taken 3 of us easily. Had this person not seen our World Rank, this never would have taken place. Unless something is done about this, I think WvW will turn into a world where the majority of the population – people with yellow gear, or even people below level 80 – will leave and result in a 40-50% WvW population loss and the only peeps left will be the high-ranked lvl 80’s with legendary gear. Then it’ll be hard to get that population back.
