Guild Wars 2

Evening fellow Guild Wars players,
Long story short, I am a Guild Wars 1 Veteran (even though I cannot find my account). I bought GW2 Collectors the day it came out, played it for about a month and then for some reason dropped it. With that all being said. I got HoT and my boost and used it on a Necro. I am not fully enjoying it. I need help/advice picking a new Profession. I have played WoW since Vanilla Beta and I am very accustomed to it. Not whether it is ranged or Melee I do not care. As long as it is fast paced and relatively easier to play (I have no problem taking time to learn). But as an example I played Enhancement Shaman, Hunter, Warrior in WoW. I prefer a more “DPS” type roll, and by prefer I mean a must. I have played around with everything and unless I leveled everything to 80 I would have 0 idea what I would enjoy. Any advice/help would be much appreciated. I like the idea of the new Prof. Or Elementalists. But also the challenge of Thieves.
You now see my dilemma.
