Guardian: Firebrand feedback

Posted feedback in the guardian section but reduced to around 100 words:

Firebrand feels slow and clunky with very little synergy between skills. With little to no mobility or sustained defense being force into melee range just doesn’t work. Some idea to hopefully help improve it:

Barrier – Would recommend adding it to Honor: Pure of Heart, Aegis grants barrier when it ends, this should also effect the aegis you grant to allies.

Axe 1 – Range needs to increase – 2x attacks on each auto first 150 second 400
Axe 2 – Symbol needs a boon, one of the boons we don’t have instant access to

Tomes and Mantra’s should work together more. And Tomes themselves need buffs.
Each page used should reduce the cooldown and charge recovery of Mantra’s by 10%, the number of remaining pages when stowed should take 2 or 3 seconds off the cooldown.
The Final Charge of each Mantra should return 2 Pages of a Tome.

Need access to Blast Finishers on Tomes and Mantra’s to combo with the fields we can drop.

Tomes and Mantra’s should work together more. And Tomes themselves need buffs.

Each page used should reduce the cooldown and charge recovery of Mantra’s by 10%.
The Final Charge of each Mantra should return 2 Pages of a Tome.

Tome cooldowns are too long and should be reduced slightly. Also they have the same cooldown if i equip and stow without using any pages, the number of remaining pages when stowed should take 2 or 3 seconds off the cooldown.

Each tome when held should give off passive effects while in combat.
Tome of Justice – Burn Targets around the guardian and pulse out retaliation.
Tome of Resolve – Heal targets around the guardian, stacks with virtue passive heal, pulse out protection.
Tome of Justice – Pulse out light Aura and convert a corruption to a boon

We can drop large fields with tome skills but have no way to blast them, all 2 Skills on tomes should blast. Also some of the Mantra’s should be blast finishers.

Tome of Resolve: All healing should also revive allies, Eternal Oasis should prevent morale loss on downed players, maybe should even teleport downed allies to the guardian.

Firebrand Demo Weekend Feedback

This seems clunky and slow with very little synergy between skills. A month out from expansion don’t see any major changes happening but some tweaks will hopefully improve things.

Axe:
1 – I think range on the axe auto attack needs to be increased by 30 as our new tome skills have us casting in a cone in front of us if we’re standing beside or stacking on allies they wont be gaining any effects.
2 – Symbol needs a boon, would like to see it give 1 second of stab on cast this would work nicely with Stalwart Speed. number of targets effected needs to be increased to 5 to match other symbols
3 – Adding slow or weakness to this skill will make it that little bit better.

Firebrand:
Virtues/Tomes – These need to be instant cast we have now lost the effects of activating these (burn, heal, aegis) would suggest adding these to Swift Scholar: burns foes, heals, grants aegis and grants quickness.
Each tome has a field but no way to blast them, suggest adding a blast finisher to all tome 2 skills.
Cooldowns – Are far too long, if i activate a tome use no pages and deactivate it, it has the same cooldown as using all the pages. When stowing a tome the remaining pages should remove 2 seconds off the cooldown.

Unrelenting Criticism:
Change to – Applying burn will also apply bleed, this I think will work better than the 33% chance to apply and will also effect our other utility’s and skills that apply burning.

Imbued Haste:
Needs something extra for when we don’t have quickness. 25% movement speed when wielding an axe. This will work well because taking Firebrand we have given up the range and mobility that Dragon Hunter gives.

Mantra’s :
Need alot of work, A fix for these would be removing the internal cooldowns on runes from the 3 and 6 bonus’ so that using all the heal or elite mantra charges will be buffed by the runes we are running and not just the first cast.

Final Mantra charge needs buffs on all to make worth using.

Mantra of Truth – Change this to aoe so it effects all targets around the guardian, and make it a blast finisher. This will work well with our tomes as we can apply large fields but have no way to blast them.

Weighty Terms: This should also reduce cast time to prepare a mantra or grant stab while preparing and also reduce cooldown of mantra skills by 20%.

Bugs:
Renewed Justice is not effecting Tome of Justice.
Guessing Courageous Return is not effecting Tome of Resolve aswell.

BWE 3 Guardian Feedback (Core/DH)

Spent some time with DH and think longbow is in an ok place, the big issue was the traps and lack of synergy between other traitlines. Couple of things I think would improve traps and Dragon Hunter in general:

- Spear of Justice: This should function the same as the guardian greatsword N.5 Binding Blade. When we activate it a second time it should pull tethered enemies towards us. This would allow us to set traps up where we like and pull enemies into them. To offset this increase the cooldown when the pull is activated.

-Traps: For all traps when they activate they should sear a symbol into the ground, this would at least improve traps and give us a way when traiting to improve them, such as with Zeal and Honor

- Heavy Light: Kinda feels meh, possibly change this to boost true shot. such as usable on the move, or hitting an enemy that is tethered with trueshot removes the induction on the next trueshot

- Run Speed: Need access to passive 25% run speed in this line, possibly add 25% run speed passive to Wings of Resolve and then when activated as well as healing allies it gives quickness for 3 seconds
