Hi all,
I’m an active WvW player with experience commanding 20-40 player groups on Maguuma. I’ve done a decent amount of 5-10 man roaming and I love open field fights. I usually only play weekdays from 11a-4p PST and would really enjoy playing with a core group of folks who aren’t afraid of going up against superior numbers if the timing is right.
I have had experience as an elementalist, necro, guardian, and ranger. Currently I’m rebuilding my account after a family member deleted all my characters. I should have a new level 80 necro within the next few weeks.
I look forward to finding the right guild.

As an Ele all sigils labeled as “on weapon swap” trigger when swapping attunements if the CD is up.
S/D is used less often in sPvP and WvW (5-10 player roaming) but I have seen it enough and used it myself that I think it has a lot of viability if used properly in the right situations. Here is a link to a very skilled S/D Ele and another link to a decent build for S/D (WvW).

Scepters were amazing in beta and early after launch. The fire #1 skill didn’t require you to face your target, so when a thief got on you, you could run away while spamming it.
It wasn’t massive damage (mostly condition), but it was enough to get people to stop chasing you.
In Anets infinite wisdom they nerfed it into the ground, and since then, there hasn’t really been a reason to use the scepter, and I honestly cannot remember seeing a level 80 elementalist using it. (unless they were bored in the mists)

TBH playstyle influences every build/gear setup a ton and NO one build is right for everyone. Ele’s are a very versatile class that is only limited by a players skill level and creativity.
On a side note I’m experimenting with a “Glass-Staff” Build that is used primarily as a back line zerg build that puts out massive aoe dmg but who’s survivability depends on mobility and environmental awareness. I’ll post when I’ve ironed out the kinks.
