Well it’s official. Accounts are linked and working now with the one login and can see HOM rewards GM Anduril needs a promotion and subsequently a payrise

Buckshot: reply back to them and tell them what happens when you follow their directions to link accounts. If you copy paste the long numerical id number i think they know how to link your account to that number.

Sweet that was a quick response. Just as I posted that received a response from support. They linked my Original GW account to my GW2 account so I should be able to login both accounts using my email and receive the HOM rewards.

Can’t wait to test it out when I get home from work

Received another response telling me my GW account isn’t linked to my GW2 account and provided me instructions how to link my accounts

Gave benefit of the doubt and tried it again anyway and it didn’t work. I sent more information back about what happens when I try to link.

I’m in no rush as I’m still getting my feet wet in Original GW and I can understand how low priority this issue must be compared to some other stuff people may be experiencing.

Hopefully this issue is rooted out eventually.

I just received a response to my ticket saying it has been escalated.

Hello, it has been over 3 days since I raised this ticket. Just wondering if there is any update on this issue as there were a number of people reporting similar issue in GW to GW2 linking thread…

Must be a widespread problem if so many are having this issue. Still haven’t received a response from support aside from the automated message saying ticket received, almost 3 days now…

If fixed then going to purchase the rest of the trilogy. Hopefully don’t have issues with earning HOM points from the trilogy if I add it to my Original GW account after the accounts have been linked…

I’m having the same problem.

Got GW Trial, liked it.
Purchased GW1 Platinum (comes with EOTN) yesterday, upgraded my trial account.
When I try to link accounts I get exact symptoms as OP and it doesn’t link.
Both accounts still have separate logins and passwords after linking.

If there are any logs feel free to check the numerous attempts I’ve had trying to link the two accounts

I want to purchase the rest of the expansions too but not being able to link accounts has really put me off.

I never progressed far with my original account when I had gw1. Just couldn’t get into the instanced game style.

I checked the wiki but even that’s rather confusing. Is there an easier to digest guide somewhere that tells you what you need to purchase and what needs to be done to get the 30 points required to unlock pets? I’m hoping it doesn’t take 50+hrs to get all that :O

i downloaded the gw1 client and tried to log in with my details. it says the gw account has been blocked for an account issue. Error=045

At this point i’m more interested about unlocking the pets for my ranger than recovering the account. What would be the easiest way to do this? purchase eye of the north and create a new account with it or do i still need to purchase gw separately to eye of the north?

I haven’t logged on my guild wars account in years and don’t have the client. Logging on the web page requires a character name which i cannot remember.

Only motivation I had was unlocking the pets for my ranger character but it seems someone beat me to it

I’m a semi casual gw player and recently found out about the additional pets you can get by linking your gw1 account to your gw2 account.

I happened to remember my GW account login information but when I logged on with the details to the gw2 site I was shocked to find the account has already been linked to someone’s account.

There is no other information regarding the account. What should I do? If I try to link my gw account to my gw2 account will that cause any problems or just not work at all? What can I do to get my GW account back and linked to my gw2 account?
