so just a note a full shut down while playing game to power off is the PSU tripping off to much power being drawn.

To have intermitten good game play makes me believe that there is somthing tasking the processor or video card in back ground.Try running task manager with the performance tab up when your taking a hit check the cpu usage see if its being overloaded and try running a video card monitor software for the same thing but more for how much memory usage is being used on the card to if its going over the memory amount that on the card.

Interesting what sounds cards is everyone running? I have same problem in WvW only myself.I have a SB Recon3d PCIe on a P55 EVGA Mainboard. It usaullly happens in intense pvp battle like Zerg vs Zerg type battles. When i alt tab out of game and check youttube or some other of sound producing software the sound works fine.So i guess its the game.I have had it crash once or twice with the sound all goofy!!
