It is a fun little mini game. But I felt like this mastery should have been implemented as an adventure so people could play it over if they wanted to.

I got the unbound magic gathering tools, since they seem to be discounted right now. For the rest I shall hold onto them and wait for sales or if they come out with something must-have following the PoF release.

Thanks for the responses. So it’s convenient, but it’s not quite the “ultimate convenience.”

I’ve never used a pass like this before, so I have a question for those that have. Can you map there, do your business, then exit right back to where you were? Kind of like how you can enter and exit the mists or the pvp lobby.

Any plans for player housing?

Now that we have mounts out of the way, this is one of the biggest things that Guild Wars is missing. We need a space to call our own, and to be able to decorate it and customize it. Get trophies from the world or from achievements to display (including holiday decorations.) I love collection achievements. Buy decorations from the gem store. Decorations from Black Lion Chests. The guild hall stuff is good, but for a game like Guild Wars we really need a personal space too. Maybe they’ll start thinking in that direction for the next expansion.

Anyone Else Like the Legendary Journeys?

I did the journey for the Legend and it was awful. Endless coral farming. And then, oh by the way, you’re going to need another few thousand stacks of copper and iron for these pigments on top of everything else you’ve already done. It’s like every step in the process became more and more disheartening. But I gutted through and now my daredevil loves her rainbow staff.

Now I’m working on the Zap and it seems to be a lot more fun collecting all the different energies. I’d love to craft the Rodgort after that but I think it’s outrageous that I’d be using materials worth twice what it would cost to buy the thing outright. I’d like to participate in the journey for crafting it, but I can’t justify that. And I already did the pony bow before the precursor crafting was released so I’m not in the market for another short bow, although that tiger collection does sound like a lot of fun.

More dailies needed per day

I’d like it if they had a tab for central Tyria dailies and another tab for HoT dailies, each with four or five choices. Or maybe going forward, have a tab for core and a tab for expansions that would generate a list of dailies from whichever expansion you own. That way they wouldn’t have to keep adding tabs with each new expansion, and we’d still have the option of doing the central Tyria dailies we know and love.

I don’t know. This feels like the absolute bare minimum that they could have done to smooth things over. The pre-order bonus amounts to a character slot . . . which will allow us to play the new class that’s being released with the expansion, because Anet didn’t want to include a character slot in the base version of the expansion pack to begin with. And now everybody is celebrating being “given” something that I feel should have come standard, especially given the premium price Anet is asking.

So I guess my new quandary is whether I should go ahead and buy it now, or wait until after it’s released and drops enough in price to get, perhaps, two character slots for the same amount of money. I don’t really care about being in the beta tests, and there is no other incentive to BUY NOW.

Put me in the disappointed crowd. I’ve pre-ordered everything Guild Wars has put out since Factions, but I can not justify the price for this one. It’s especially bad that it doesn’t even include at least a character slot. And it’s even worse that I’m being forced to buy the core game again as part of the “package.”

So I will wait until it goes on sale at some time, and if I’m still playing Guild Wars 2, I’ll decide then.

I expect most of my burning questions will be answered as ya’ll release info and we get closer to launch, so I’ll just ask something off the wall.

Will we get new Maguuma-themed faces and hairstyles (and maybe tattoos or horns or the like) at character creation for those who own the expansion?

Miniatures Have Been Hidden...

This is fantastic. Thank you for “tweaking” the culling issue so our minis aren’t forever hidden.

I still think the user interface could use a little work though. All the minis seem shoved into a pile so it’s difficult to see what you have. They remind me of a wall of text without any paragraph breaks. I’d love the ability to sort them, similar to what you added with dyes.

Some ideas:
Alphabetically
by set (especially so we can see which ones we lack for the achievements)
by rarity
and by adding the ability to tag them as favorites.

I just logged into Caledon on my character I made last night to test the new leveling experience. Got the “mini can’t be displayed because of rising population” message. Ok, fine, whatever.

Then, literally, a few seconds later I get a message saying they want to close this map due to the low number of players and asked if I would volunteer to be shuffled into a more populated map.

I really hope this whole issue is a bug.
