Just crashed again.. only crashing in WVW, both of the last 2 crashes were in SM castle when there were large fights. I experience no lag, no issues, then BOOM crashes suddenly.

Here’s me new log, looks a lot like the one I posted above. Hopefully it helps someone figure out the issue.

I have the same problem in WVW…I can play for between 10 mins and an hour or so, and BOOM hard crash to desktop with the little box to send a report.

Crashes seem to be around/in towers or keeps, or when theres a large battle or both.

Attached is my crash report, similar to the ops with a lot of the error messages.

By the way, this problem only started happening AFTER THE 3/26 PATCH.

Update: Because of the ‘memory could not be read’ type error in the crash log, I ran memtest86 against my memory – zero errors. I also run several other games with no crashes whatsoever, and of course the crashes started after 3/26.

Culling is far better now than before patch.

how to counter thieves

All of the QQ here is hilarious.

I kill thieves all day long, once in a while one gets away. If I see a house pop (shadow refuge) AE and boom, 9 out of 10 times thief dead. 1 out of 10 times thief says o kitten and runs out losing stealth.

The complaints about perma stealth builds is really a culling issue, ANET needs to fix that.

Are you a warrior and see thief house pop up? Whirling axe = thief dead.

There’s just so many ways to kill, but people just continue to QQ.

Thank you ANET for being methodical and cautious in balancing approaches so far, but please keep working on fixing culling!!

Week of 11/23: SOS vs JQ vs SBI

Well shouldn’t it be Sea of Denravi, or Henge of Sorrows?

All kidding aside, SBI started the weekend off great. But WvW is all about coverage and numbers. Skill and tactics are important, but at the end of the day, a massive zerg can kill both skill and tactics and leave them crumpled in bloody mess.

SBI is getting crushed by overwhelming numbers and sound tactics. Seems like once the weekdays started this week, SBI went offline or to do fractals? (I did) Who knows.

I know that last couple of nights I went into WvW and saw commander tags I’ve never seen before. Who the hell are these people? Watched them for a while, weren’t doing kitten. Last night dropped into EB to see the mess, out of curiosity. SBI had two commanders in EB sitting around spawn being spawn camped, and just sat there doing nothing. Also I saw nothing in chat except some people kittening about the commanders sucking and then kittening each other out. It was a sad display. Again, a couple of commanders I’ve never heard of.

I love our WM and LoD commanders, and we have some other great commanders as well! However, it seems like everyone is achieving a commander tag these days. To those people who have a tag and either don’t know WTF you’re doing or just aren’t good at it (don’t be in denial, it doesn’t take long to know you’re just not cut out for commander)….please turn your tag off and let someone else lead, especially when there’s already 2 or more commanders already on the map. You break the cohesion of the force by leading people off into oblivion!

Anyways, both the last two nights after seeing the infighting and outmanned buffs, I bailed to do fractals instead of WvW ( I want my rings!).

I know by leaving that I contribute to the outmanned buff even more, but when you go into WvW and see that, it’s just demoralizing.

Go SBI!….?

WvW: Upgraded catapults and trebs fire damage

Catapults and Trebs that are upgrade versions that launch flaming balls, when landing create a temporary streak of flame on the ground and/or catch on fire briefly (for fire damage) whatevery they hit.

The cost of this upgraded version would have to be in line with the increase in damage/dot it has.
