With the expansion coming in a month, wouldn’t the gear now become obsolete? Also, I would be interested in playing D/D in wvw, how difficult is it to obtain celestial gear?

I just started recently. How long would it take to catch up in terms of gear? Would I be at a great disadvantage by the time i hit 80?

My ele is about to hit 80 pretty soon, and it’s my first character. I’m wondering how hard/long is it to max out my gear, and how do I go about doing it? I read from the SAB sub forums that new players can ‘forget it’ , what does that means exactly?
