It used to fly you out there when the story progression was changed because the Against The Corruption quest (a level 80 quest normally) was placed in the level 70 chapter. Now, however, it’s changed back.
Could you post a screenshot of your UI, by any chance? I ask because I wasn’t directed to go to the airship dock for that mission a couple of days ago and was wondering what yours looks like compared to mine.
Have you tried going to the marker?
No, that would require some pretty crazy running to get all the way from fort trinity through most of orr. I figure that’s why the quest is supposed to fly you there.
The in-game quest text says to go to the airfield, but the marker is somewhere in the middle of orr.
Level 70 personal quest, Against the Corruption. Says to go to the airfield at fort trinity to be airlifted to the cursed shore. I’m at the dock, but there isn’t anything to do. The quest marker is telling me I should be somewhere on Orr. How do I continue this quest?
I typically play ranger/hunter/archer types classes. However, GW2 offers 3 classes that can use bows. I am curious which I should choose if I want to be the traditional bow-wielding type character.
I play PvE dungeons, world events, and WvW. I don’t mind playing a support role, just so long as I can pew pew arrows.
Thief: The greatest fictional archer ever, Robin Hood, was a thief. So this makes sense, but can a thief use a shortbow as a main weapon and be effective?
Ranger: Standard beastmaster/ranger type class, so this is obvious, but I hear a lot of negative stuff about how ranger melee weapons are superior to bows.
Warrior: Heavy armor and a bow? Sounds pretty tough, but like the thief, can a warrior use a bow as a main weapon and be effective?
What would be an secondary weapon swap for these professions if I used a bow as a main weapon?
Thanks for your help!!
Burrison the Blue is still singing about rub a dub, but he isn’t there for the quest, even after today’s reset
I keep hoping to see them fix spirits. I’m not hopeless yet, but getting sad
If you have an ATI card, you can force-enable this in the catalyst settings…
No you can’t. It has no affect on it if you try and force it.

I am excited to see this thread. I was going crazy trying to figure out what was wrong with my system. I have an fx 6100 and an HD 6850 card. For some reason the game just ran poorly for no reason. Comparing my performance with my friends who had supposedly lesser processors and gfx cards just made me more frustrated. Why would theirs run so much better?
Overclocking my 6100 from stock 3.3 to 4+ gave me a few boost in fps, but it is disheartening to see older, slower processors outperform me. It is definitely something to do with the FX series and GW2. Everything else I play runs at max/ultra settings. But GW2….
