Even if the 90-120 seconds respawn rate works correctly, I still think that it’s much too short. Why is ArenaNet so afraid of giving the players a few minutes’ rest? Why not make the respawn time 5-10 minutes, or even longer, so you never fight the same mobs twice, and have some time to look around? Would it be so bad to occasionally run into an area where a previous player has killed all enemies?
Yes, for me this is the number one reason why I don’t enjoy the game. In GW1 it was so satisfying to clear a complete zone, and then just run around it, looking at all the sights. In GW2 you never have a moment’s rest to look at the beautiful art.
Yes, the insane respawn rates are killing this game for me. In GW1 it was so satisfying to clear a zone, and then walk around it, looking at everything. Here, in GW2, there’s never any time to look around, because the respawns will kill you. This really has to be changed…
How is it possible that even the first two missions of GW1, from more than 7 years ago, are so much better than this one, Claw Island?
I’m playing on Piken Square (EU), and since last Tuesday I experience horrendous lag all the time. During fights, the game world freezes every 10 seconds for 3-5 seconds. Other actions, at vendors, or gathering also take at least a few seconds. Game is unplayable for me, whereas before this week everything ran great.
