You are correct. The krait witch event is running fine on FA now!
According to what I have read, there is a co-event but no event chain so she should spawn sporadically even with no one doing anything. I cannot verify this though …
From what I can tell, the Timberline witch is still bugged on many servers.
Let’s create a thread with info on which servers it is or is not spawning …
It is not spawning on FA.
Did this get fixed or might it get fixed before the end of the two week period? I have been watching (leaving the game open in a window while doing work) but have not seen it spawn.
This idea may have come up before …
How about dynamic door/wall/NPC strengths that are inversely related to the current PPT holdings?
Depending on the function used, this could make it harder for a zerg to steamroll through unimpeded when the other servers do not have many players on line.
One possibility would be to vary the power/toughness/retaliation of NPCs and the toughness/retaliation of doors/structures. Of course, other modifications could create similar effects.
It is clear that two of SoS, FA, Mag, and SBI will be going for the gold and likely getting killed week after week and two will compete for the top of silver division …
Leagues seem like a bad idea when the outcome is clear to begin with. Guess I kind of long for the original groups of 3 servers that kept the matches closer even if FA,TC and DB seemed to play each other every week for months.
As mentioned, the start of the leagues is creating a prisoner’s dilemma for guilds/players — do they stay with their current server or move to where they will be competitive in the new league. The problem is these moves will not be fully factored into the rankings so the leagues are going to be even more mismatched than would be expected by initial rankings.
There are two problems here — one is in communication and the other is in execution.
The communication problem is obvious and the most severe. Not all players and probably not even many players read patch notes or these forums (I only do when something does not work or seems broken). A smart way to communicate with players would have been to send a in-game mail message to all accounts or all accounts that had commendations.
Others have given ideas on how the currency could have been removed in a more player-friendly way: leave the ability to use commendations without the ability to acquire them or have some ability to convert commendations into something else.
