Going to give this another day or two.
Hello everyone.
I am currently looking for a new guild to play with. I would like to join a family friendly guild to hang out with and play together while figuring out what to do with the current guild. So I would appreciate not having to rep 100% as I am a officer and still do daily reset with the remaining active members of my current guild.
Being on SOR is not a requirement, just makes it easier when doing WvW stuff.
I am well experienced in Dungeons, Fractals of the Mist, and other PvE content, including Raids when they are introduced.
I will do WvW for daily. I am not interested in PvP, but I have been known to do it from time to time.
Hardcore or casual does not matter to me, however I have been doing dungeons at hardcore level since near launch and its burnt me out a bit.
I am mostly active 1-2 hours prior to reset and I will often stay on for up to 4 hours after reset. I live on the West Coast USA, PDT till Nov 1 then PST.
Thursdays and for this month Wednesdays I have limited play time after reset.
I currently use TS3 and would prefer to continue using it.
I have been in a small guild actively for 3 years now and I have tried joining larger guilds. Size right now is not as important to me as the community behind it is.
I am mostly looking for a laid back group to chill with while doing dungeons, fractals, and other PvE stuff.
Q & A.
What class(’s) do you run/builds?
My primary is a Guardian and this is his current Build. I have to change things often with it depending of the circumstance.
I have one of each class and enjoy all of them however the majority of my time is spent on Brother Tycko. I am also ready for HoT.
Is there any additional things you are looking for in a guild?
Apart from what I sated earlier not really.
All I am looking for is a friendly guild that I can hang out with.
I mostly do PvE and I enjoy helping other people out teaching them things I have learned and learning new things from others.
So are you looking for permanent home or just new friends?
A new home eventually, but for right now some new people to hang out with would be nice. After a few months(if needed) and my current guild has had some time to adjust to the changes.
So you mentioned you tried joining a large guild, what happened to that?
Had two really close friends join a larger guild, so I was looking to join them for dungeons, fractals, world expo, etc.
The guild had a change in leadership, the new leadership changed some guild policies and these new policies eventually killed the guild. Which was a shame because I quite enjoyed my time with the majority of them and I still talk to a few of them from time to time.
Previous MMO’s?
Guild Wars 1, EVE Online, Warhammer Age of Reckoning, Star Trek Online, Vanguard, and some others I can’t remember off the top of my head.
Although considered MMO’s I don’t think they truly are but I will add them anyways: World of Tanks, World of Warships, WarThunder.
What are some of your other interests/hobbies?
History in particular ancient Rome and WWII, been watching some great videos on WWI recently.
Hiking and camping.
SciFi/Fantasy and history books.
Some of my favorite movies and tv series in no particular order: Game of Thrones, Band of Brother, Avatar the Last Airbender, HBO mini series ROME, Star Wars (episode V is my personal favorite), Gravity Falls, and many more.
Some other video games I enjoy playing that are not MMOs: Skyrim, Endless Space, Mass Effect Trilogy, Dawn of War I & II, Valkyria Chronicles, Fire Emblem Awakening, Battlefield 2142, Mirror’s Edge, Star Wars kotor, Rome: Total War, and much more.
Thank you for reading this and taking the time to consider me, I am looking forward to replying to all whom respond. If you have questions don’t be afraid to ask.

Here are some of my thoughts on how to improve the Dragon Hunter.
Longbow:
Puncture Shot: Remove bouncing. Make it penetrate, if it penetrates more than 1 target the first two targets hit are crippled.
True Shot: Remove rooting. (Rooting on this skill is what will keep Scepter/Focus my go to option for ranged fights).
Deflection Shot: Launch a wall of reflect with about 1/4 the width, reduce its range to around 400 to 600 (I’ve had way too many projectiles simply arc over deflection shot for me to take it seriously).
Traits:
Heavy Light: To call it a bit silly is a understatement. If I am using traps then the last thing I want is knock backs especially if they are getting close, and into the trap. The stability is a nice thought but feels out of place, especially considering if you knock them back interrupting the attack that required the stability in the first place.
Simply change this to a flat 25 movement speed buff, or at least gain 25 movement speed while wielding a Longbow.
Please put a flat 25 movement buff somewhere in the trait line for Dragon Hunter.
Taking Longbow and a Staff is not a ideal combo, I prefer having at least one melee weapon. Also waiting 4 seconds for 15 seconds of swiftness on the staff is also unnecessary and should simply apply all 15 seconds when touching the symbol. Taking Save Yourselves and Retreat just to have a chance of keeping up with the other classes is unacceptable and severely cripples build options.
Trait synergy while using Big Game Hunter has it actively working against Defenders Dogma and Zealot’s Aggression especially if Zealot’s Aggression is paired with Dulled Senses. The combination of Dulled Senses and Zealot’s Aggression is the best trait combo I could come up with for the Dragon Hunter. The traits for the Dragon Hunter still leave much to be desired and I’m upset to see other specializations where the trait line alone makes them worth taking and not seeing that for Dragon Hunter is very disappointing.
@Donari No, there are no other parts of the game that make me feel this way. I believe it is the combination of narrow pathways and mobs/npc that are everywhere. I very rarely do not get claustrophobic but when the entire map (which they have revealed so far) is nothing but narrow pathways clogged with mobs/npc I apparently can’t handle it for too long.
The only other video game(s) that made me feel sick in any way was 007 Goldeneye and Perfect Dark both for N64. Only on certain maps I would get motion sickness.
So while attempting to explore Verdant Brink I started to feel claustrophobic at first. After about 40 min or so of running around it finally got to me and I had to leave the map because I was beginning to feel ill.
Just wanted to let the devs know and to see if its just me or if there are others that have experienced the same thing while moving through Verdant Brink.
