Something I continue to see as an issue with some veteran players (via screenshots shared) is bank space sections being completely dedicated to storing bloodstone dust.
I know Arena Net has created some back pieces that allow you to feed the dust to, but I’m thinking of an alternative that might be a bit more rewarding to the players and far easier to manage. I’m not sure how difficult it would be for Arena Net to implement this system, but here it goes.
The idea is: every 4 stacks of Bloodstone Dust you acquire (1000 dust total), you can put all 4 stacks into the Mystic Forge and be rewarded with a Bloodstone Orb. Every orb can be placed in your standard bank materials section for a total of 250 by default, and rising if players purchase additional space with gems – like they can with all other materials.
Then if players need to use their dust, they take the Orb to someone who is standing near the Mystic Forge and that person, when given the Orb, will reward you with a chest that, when opened, will deliver 4 stacks of Bloodstone Dust to you.
This would likely not even be a quick fix / change because the following would need to be done on Arena Net’s part:
- Creation of an orb-specific vendor / NPC.
- Additional material wallet slot for Bloodstone Orbs.
- Mystic Forge Recipe Implementation
- Delivery system for the 4-stack Bloodstone chest.
An additional idea that was presented to me (as I shared this idea elsewhere to see if it was an idea worth posting about before I came here) was to offer the option, to players who obtain a set amount of Orbs, to take their orbs to said vendor who will give players certain rewards for higher amounts of orbs brought to them. Maybe 100 orbs will grant you a certain number of skill points, and 250 will give you an ascended trinket of your choosing.
Thoughts?
