I think one of the main reasons we are doing much better this match up is that we have gained at least 3 guilds I know for a fact who came from a hardcore W3 setting. It does seem that we have a much stronger day presence as well this week (maybe due to the strong weekend fighting and waking up this morning we didn’t see ourselves 20k down again) and I ask/hope all the servers as a whole aim to keep things kosher and legit.

Viper, I will chat with the few guilds in there I recognize and check to be sure (of course I can’t be 100% certain) that people hold to good ethics to help ensure a good fight for everyone.

Curious and wondering since I don’t know a lot about the different hacks/exploits being used, was it a FA invader using this exploit against you guys? And if so did you happen to catch a guild tag?

I’d like to look into it if you happened to see who it was. I feel that exploiting and hacking are wrong in any setting but even more so if someone is in the lead and picking on the server who’s struggling to even get it’s people interested in going in to fight.

I haven’t seen a post yet for updating the scores or anything like that for this match up so I thought I’d get one started. Let’s try to keep this in good spirits and go less on the trolling and more on the end of giving servers and guilds you see props for objectives well done.

Maguuma…don’t lose hope! Come out strong during the week and give SOS and FA some trouble. Nothing is better than having an underdog creep up on you and then kick the crap out of you.

Even though FA came in third quite a bit behind BG and DB this has still been THE best week of W3 I personally have ever experienced. Who needs to win when every time I step foot out of W3 I am able to look at the map and say to myself, “That’s a successful night” because I can see some red that I know we capped.

And big Kudos to BG who really came together (both as a server and with the addition of some good xfers) to come back and wipe everything out. I know that the first couple of days we were kind of asking ourselves, “Where’s BG at??? They seem to almost be non-existent”…boy were we wrong

He only mentions the former alliance that is now on Eredon Terrace and Isle of Janthir, which would be Ascension Alliance and the guilds originally from there, which is a former alliance of PTX, I give him that. Yet he mentions nothing about the alliance they formed on Devona’s Rest before they transferred to Fort Aspenwood.

The only formal alliance that attempted to take place on DR was a flop due to the lack of leadership from the person in charge (former member and no need for me to drag names through the mud). He was originally a GM for PTX and had shown interest in wanting to create a formal alliance for the DR community and when he did, he separated himself from PTX as to try and not show bias (no longer represented PTX and removed himself completely from our website community). We supported him in his efforts but nothing ever got off the ground and most of the guilds who showed interest left DR due to the lack of population on their own accord (ourselves included) and nothing was ever made of said alliance.

Let’s not forget some PTX from Fort Aspenwood on Dragonbrand wasting our supply in our keeps while a large part of their alliance transferred to Blackgate.

(Since this is text you cannot hear my tone, but this is not meant to be a flame/troll towards you in any way)
Let me help clear up some of the misguided facts you have. And for validity of my statements not only am I our PR officer but I am also one of our WvW leaders during our “campaign” times.

1. Wasting supply? What were they doing? Were they grabbing it and making siege as part of a counter defense that you possibly weren’t aware of? (We do run multiple groups across a map and use TS to coordinate our teams) Or were they taking supply out and just leaving the keep?
2. We are not a part of any form of an alliance since leaving NSP and AA so you are incorrect there. (Not really much else to say on that one)

If you’d like a deeper understand of how/why PTX does what it does in W3 on Tuesday nights our W3 Officer Blankspace runs a “W3 training” on his twitch stream for those interested in some general tactics and group make ups that have worked well for us.

While at times it does feel like the match-up can be “one sided” I feel that overall this has been one of the best W3 matches PTX has participated in since release. A lot of back and forth capping, strong attempts and counter attempts, and even quite a few laughs with guilds from DB as well.

All in all, the point spread is holding much closer than I would have anticipated and PTX is having a heck of a time (as in having fun) fighting with both BG and DB.

One thing I can attest to is that this type of issue is happening EVERYWHERE. Yes, Anet needs to fix it and I’m sure they are doing the best they can with everything on their plates.

There are a few things that can be done though on our end:
1. SS the person so at least there is a “general look” of what the person looks like (of course easy to change that on a dime)
2. If you are capable to do so (because of the flying of course), you can right-click on their health bar and obtain their account name when you go to report them. Write that sucker down and post it up on here if you feel so inclined (I’d suggest having a screen shot of the person in action and the account name in game as to avoid question).
3. Ignore those jerks and try your best to enjoy the amazing match up that we’ve been having overall.

It is always a shame when select few ruin things for the whole but the more we ignore them now while they still can do it, hopefully the less inclined those doing it for “glory seeking” will feel it’s not worth the time/incoming permaban

PTX has been having a great time rolling around in WvW with both DB and BG. It’s been a lot of fun to have some good solid competition and amazing fights.

Lets keep the spirits up and the fighting clearn (well…some legit dirty tactics are ok :P)
