now its not working again the download got stuck at 87% great. I think ANET and my isp (ATT) are having issues. I don’t know either way this is really frustrating and making me not want to play this game.

yeah it works now, thank god it fixed itself.
Today I was trying to download a patch and it was at 99 percent then stopped and said retry connection. So I let it do its thing and went out to eat I was gone for about an hour and half, it didn’t move anywhere. I ended up closing the client and reopening it which ended in me being at 0% with 1 file left. I tried many times to close and reopen the client but it was not working. So now I decide to unistall the client and re-install it, but now i’m stuck at X amount of kb and 0kb/s just trying to re-install now too. I’ve searched for probably 2 hours now to try and fix it. I flushed my dns, I restarted my computer, I deleted my gw2 roaming folder, and I even tried changing some line on my hosts file in the drivers folder (174.35.56.164 assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com) but still nothing. Also I do keep getting the retry connection error and also i cannot close the installer without using task manager. I’m very frustrated and I don’t know what else to try since what i’ve seen has been the same solution so someone please tell me if there is a solution I haven’t tried yet. It’s most likely gonna be an easy fix and ima feel dumb but whatever will get this to work.
