That would mean that every player that joins will lower the server’s score because of increased playercount, unless that player actively participates and makes up for it.

It would become a more elitist community where casual players are looked down upon as wasted resources (lowering the score while not evening it out by playing well), but would also look down on players standing around spawn waiting to regroup for 20 minutes, not doing anything.

It can go both ways. It could be an experiment.

As a Warrior I can do enough damage without my conditions, but for balance, reason, and common sense you’re absolutely right. An important issue that should be resolved quickly.

As an Armorsmith hitting crafting level 400 at player level 80 I decided to spend the +-10 gold I had left on materials to craft my own Exotic armor.
I made all 6 pieces, crafted some nice runes and decided that I’d spend my remaining 50.000 or so karma on trinkets and weapons, as I was pretty sure that I could get these in exotic form somewhere because hey, Orr sells karma armor, why not weapons?

Well, I was a bit disappointed when I found out I could not buy any exotic items besides 6 pieces of armor with my karma. Cultural weapons are all Rare, and I could not even find a place to find Rare trinkets at all.

I do almost have all my items in Exotic, missing only one accessory and my necklace, but still plenty of karma remaining. It would be nice if I could spend this on either weapons or trinkets in the future, because now I see no point in karma besides using it to save gold on harvesting tools and salvage kits.

Also, there isn’t really a point for some of the rare weapons now. The Lionguard set, for example, offers the lowest tier for 9.800 karma and the highest for 61.000 karma. No one with any common sense would buy the 61.000 karma one now (both have the same skin if you buy it for transmutation, and who buys level 80 rares for that insane amount of karma?), but if it was exotic it would be another story.
