+1

I’ve been getting a black screen on every single one of my house’s computers, all with different cards.

My main PC uses a Radeon 290x, suffers no overheating issue at all, I can run every game fine (i.e Rome 2 Total War “Ultra”, Crisis 3… any game but this one) except GW2, I’ve had this issue since the beginning of 2014, and so have my friends.

This is pitiful.

Edit: spellling

“I’m running AMD R9 270x, my Catalyst control centre by default has “Anti-Aliasing mode/sample: Use application settings”, i have placed “-clientport 80” in target line and “-windowed” as other suggestions stated they could fix our issue.”

Yeah I tried the “-windowed” option already as you can see. I’ve contacted support at which they advised me to submit a report from their NCSoft Game Advisor program.

To download Game Advisor, go here: http://us.ncsoft.com/gameadvisor

I’ll reply with further details and/or solution.

+1 BUMP

Can’t believe how pathetic this is.

I’m running AMD R9 270x, my Catalyst control centre by default has “Anti-Aliasing mode/sample: Use application settings”, i have placed “-clientport 80” in target line and “-windowed” as other suggestions stated they could fix our issue.

Running on “Best Performance” (everything set to low) does not change the rate at which i receive the black screen with cursor and music (generally 1-5 minutes after selecting character).

It may be possible that it is a network issue. I did a traceroute and found that I had 100% packetloss on the 12th hop:

12 —- 25/ 25 =100% 6/ 25 = 24% 206-127-157-86.plaync.com [206.127.157.86]

I stopped playing 6 months ago due to this issue (Lion Arch(?) update??), hoping i could do PvP/WvW, but it seems this issue is still not resolved. At the time prior I was using the same card, it was only until after the patch that I began receiving this.

Edit: Mispelling.
