I quit playing for the most part because of the lack of roleplay server, and how the account names are visible to all. It seems goofy to me they would not have given a single RP server designation or the ability to toggle account names.

I have never RP’d in GW2 and have not seen it and have been on the Toast since launch. I re-subbed to another game just to get that type of engagement. A ‘safe space’ for RP in a mmoRPG? Too much to expect I guess.

The lack of effort stuck us with a sword and board ‘shooter’ population… Players with names like ‘Runnypoopoo’ are not people I want to play with.

We need a 2nd Unofficial RP Server

It would be great if Anet showed some leadership, and just put an RP tag on a few servers to help facilitate this a bit. Really, how hard would that be, and the players will do the rest of the work.

I know playing a healer is not for everyone, I get that. Its something that I enjoy, and while I have an ele with maxed healing gear, and can do pretty solid AOE heals, I get no xp/love for it. For helping my team hold a wall or defeat a wave, I get nothing. Players don’t even know who to thank for saving their kitten when two guys were on them.

GW2 hates healers. They don’t give anything for us. You are a DD in this game, or you are DD.

Open world is great, pve is fun, pvp instance is fun, but I am really only allowed to play the way they want. I want to be a healer, its what I do, so at the end of the day GW2 is just not the right game for people like me.

They took the same stance with RP servers, and not allowing the ‘hide’ account name options suggested in early beta.

I know it is a great game, and without the sub I am really just talking about if I continue to play or not. I have gone with not for now, and paying a sub again for a game that lets me play my way.

I hope it is getting fixed soon if not fixed in this patch. This is the first real ‘unplayable’ issue I have had with this game.

I am willing to be patient while they work through the issue, however I would like to see a clearer line on what the cause is, and where they are in the process.

The issue has impacted my level of player satisfaction, and some nights I have just stopped playing WvW to avoid the frustration.

Looking forward to a timely fix!

Because all the traits help only 1 attunement. So it’s worthless to switch to another attunement since you’ll get more damage staying in one.

Because damage is the only benefit that a Ele can bring to a group apparently. Nope, we have no CC, boons, or condition clears to add. Might stacking the group, regen stacking the group, swiftness stacking the group, and toughness stacking the group simply by switching elements when specced properly brings no benefit to group play…

Better just stay in fire if you have 30 points in fire since you get +20% damage from 10% trait and 2x 5% on burning. No real reason to go to earth since you will just reduce your damage by doing so.

unless you’ve specced 10 pts into arcane and can get your entire group a 33% dmg reduction when switching right before a big damage item. And it’s not like Earth has any other useful skills, like massive bleeds, ranged shields, cripples, and immobilizations. Oh wait…

Water without water traits doesn’t help your team. It slows the fight as you will be dealing no damage. The heal without +healing is barely noticeable.

Unless of course you have to the foresight to notify your group that (w/ a staff at least) both your 3 and 5 skills (geyser and healing rain, respectively) classify as water fields and can be used with THEIR blast and leap finishers to provide massive AOE healing that fills the entire group to full…

Seriously, it’s thought-processes like this that lead people to think the Ele is massively underpowered when we’re clearly not (although I will admit we may not be up to par in certain aspects of other classes. I’m not trying to turn this into a UP/OP argument).
