The map icon (little blue dot) for allies in my party does not always show up any more on the big map. Maybe this is a side-effect of the megaserver with them being in another map? Please have a look at it.

Lyssa relies on a pre-event to fail, seeing the pre-event for Lyssa will not fail because of the megaservers Lyssa won’t spawn and is kind of lost content at this point (with the exception of maybe once every day/2 days at 5.00 in the morning?).
Can this be changed/looked at?
At some point in this PS part I have to use catapults to destroy Orrian siege. This works fine except for that TWICE now I have been hit by their catapult while besieging them, and fallen through Vigil Keep. Screenshot attached, please have a look at it.
Oh and another thing, more specific to the idea. With these factions in the cities, guilds or parties could register in groups (5?) to do missions to get a special object/assassinate someone. Competing against others that have signed up at their chosen faction hub and are assigned the same/similar/crossing/exact opposite objective. Make it small scale missions, so you meet another group on the streets and can fight for something and get a reward. Hell you could even make it tied to a race or profession team only!
This could turn our really cool in the old LA map (with new ragged/thrown-together-quickly buildings).
Maybe yes, it’s better not to make this server-tied, more guild/party tied – which the megaserver would actually help with.

A free for all PvP zone done right was City of Heroes’ Warburg zone. (Let’s ignore how badly balanced CoH PvP itself was, that’s not the issue here.) There were tunnels below the ground, and a city above. Down in the tunnels, if you got past the PvE threats, you could find scientists. Rescue/capture one, and you could walk them up to the surface and find a control panel. Getting them there got you one launch code. Getting all three codes meant that you could then go to the center of the map and claim one of three “Nuke” one shot temp powers that could be used at any time, PvP or PvE. The trick was, if you were killed while carrying codes, you’d lose one and the killer might gain one. Or they could get you while escorting a scientist, and take them away from you.
The nukes were useful and fun, but never a “must have”. That’s an important detail, as “must have” forces people into PvP. Useful and fun does not.[/quote]

Personally, I want LA back. If not, it would be a great place to put guild halls/player housing as has been previously suggested.
Getting back LA would seem like the most boring thing ever to me. I’d like at least 1 or 2 more zones next patch and a completely new city to live in. We had LA, I don’t need a(n exact) copy back. Lore-wise, I think they could work around not having to go back there.
Here’s something I came up with the other day while walking through an abandoned and destroyed LA. Let’s make it a free zone! The area has been taken over by brigands, thieves and whoever are attracted by ruined wealth (pirates?). Here’s what it means:
- PvP-enabled zones/areas (maybe taverns as safe zones), options to team up or join a team (rivaling city rogue factions)
- Sites guilds can claim for their own
- Keep up with the renegade/pirate theme but even more secretive and with more houses/hidden doors/hard to reach places.
- Different from WvWvW because; more compact, more personal, within the server only.What are your ideas, thoughts or additions? I thought it would be a unique destiny for our beloved LA, keeping some of the previous theme intact but going from a safe place to a now risky and daring place!

It is not fun with areas like that. What you would end up with is a area full of gankers that prowl around and think they are UBER because of it.
Gankers? It’s an area you go to to challenge others and prove your worth. It’s like PvP/WvW but with a twist. People in PvP/WvW aren’t called gankers and aren’t UBER right? Sure there’s some bad apples…
So, who goes to Piken Square LA, then? There is a disconnect here somewhere. Eventually, (not right away), the Megaservers will create one LA that anyone could conceivably go to, regardless of their own world. Though, of course, everyone can not fit in one instance of that particular map, and more maps of LAwill be created. With more of the people you see often, such as your server-mates, guildies, friends, etc. But, there can also be people from any number of servers in that map, as well.
How do you keep it ‘within the server’, when there may be players from any number of servers in each map of LA? That is my question.
As long as my character is tagged under the name “Stim Packs – Piken Square” then they can make a different map for every server. It can be done in WvWvW so why not one map for each server? Besides it’s a technical issue… I’m sure we can leave that to the devs. I’d like to hear more comments on the idea itself.

As for the rest of it, it if was implemented, I guess I would never see LA again. Not into PvP that much.
WvWvW is organized neatly between 3 servers, I don’t see why it couldn’t work. As for you not being into PvP, too bad, but I can’t help but feel some people might be.
My point is…there will no longer be distinct server cities once MegaServer is fully rolled out. LA could conceivably has people from 12 servers in it. How would your plan work? Only a certain percentage of the population can partake in any given LA map?
As long as servers exist (E.g. Piken Square, where I’m from) you could designate the area to that particular server. As far as I understood, the megaserver will still have seperate servers (for purposes such as WvWvW). I guess 1 more map is not so hard then? Correct me if I’m wrong, then I should read up on the upcoming patch notes

No, she just stood there. I tried pulling some mobs to her but after fighting them she returned there. The only thing I did different than normal was that I spoke to Trahearne and all the others real quick (there’s quite some talking in that one). I tried it twice, and the same thing happened.
The part of the personal story called Forging the Pact is bugged. When I meet Trahearne outside the ruins crusader Afanen is waiting there for me too, but does not leave her spot. I therefore cannot progress in my personal story because she is supposed to follow me into the ruins to search for survivors.
Please have a look at this.

My helm cannot be dyed. It is the Pit Fighter helm skin bought with Badges of Honor. I tried everything but it will never change color from the initial colors. Can you please have a look at it?
My keys get stuck at random times in random events. I can not use my skills, although on my engineer I can switch my packs. It is not my keyboard I have this on different computers and keyboards.
I see the “1” skill being pressed, but it just doesn’t do anything. Same goes for reviving (F), even if I click on the Revive icon.
A relog fixes it, although last time it happened 5 seconds after my relog. Sometimes it is mostly my left bar (skills 1-5), but often it also includes my right bar. As I said, my engineer can switch to kits though (but not use the skills).
Does anyone else have this?
Edit: I think it happens after trying to pick up an environment item and moving right after, effectively cancelling the picking up but also locking my skills down.

Well my processor is fine, it was quite unusual lag because woe is me, once I made this post and entered WvW it was gone… So maybe DDOS, it sounds plausible..
So even with a computer that should be able to handle wvw easily as well as fast internet, it just lags massively. How are people playing this? Or is everyone just accepting the lag and dealing with it best they can…
I remember times when it lagged occasionally for one or the other reason, now its just one massive lagfest.
So:
1. Is everyone experiencing this lag?
2. Will it be solved any time soon?

Anet, tell me, how does this happen? How come whenever there is new content, there seems to be a pile of bugs. One would expect a few bugs, like a boss getting stuck or a new item malfunctioning in certain situations.
However, these are not the bugs we’re looking at here. This event caused a bug that screwed up key bindings (how that even relates or interferes with the coding on new content is beyond me). Crashes when a boss dies. Scrolls not working. Animations being screwed up. This is just a quick scour through the forums and what I’ve heard on my server. Additionally, there are many visual glitches where people are supposed to stun break, but still stand still somewhere rooted without the animations showing.
So do tell, many of the bugs you add in a patch don’t even seem related to the content.

My hotkey for my healing skill is the middle mouse button.
My hotkey for auto-walk is shift-middle mouse button.
Whenever I want to auto-walk now, I heal myself as well.
Whenever my heal is on cooldown, my auto-walk will say “skill is on cooldown”.
So, concluding from the above, my healing skill is triggered by auto walking. This makes playing rather difficult for me. Can you revert it the way it was, with the shift-XXX key not also triggering the non-shift-XXX key?

I am missing a grand total of seven points of interest. Every map displays 100%, CoS done, WvWvW done, all 4 maps. All dungeons, Southsun Cove and the PvP area are done (even though they don’t count) because I am driven to a point where I’m totally stuck.
I double checked all maps that have recently added PoIs and still it shows I have them and I have the new ones that came with the living world as well (Aetherblades, Divinity’s Reach etc.).
Is this a bug? Can the game display 100% for every map while I do not actually have it? I even checked the Wiki and GW2 Life for every map for the amount and place of every PoI. I Googled the hell out of the internet about missing PoIs and bugging maps.
So I think I covered all basics and the standard advice. Is there anyone out there that can help me with seven PoIs that are missing? It’s not even one or two, there are seven of them!
When going through my bags half way through an event of the living story, I have to salvage sometimes. This involves whites, blues and greens. I think we can all agree that they just go on one pile as being useless junk.
However, what annoys me is that the game keeps asking me “Are you sure you want to salvage [generic green item #502]?”. YES I DO. Every time I salvage some worthless green item, the window pops up.
It is a small issue perhaps, but it gets annoying after having had to salvage so many green items. I am sure this was implemented to make sure nobody salvages something they might need, but come on… green items?
So please, remove the window or make an option in the menu to remove the confirmation windows.
There it is. It looks pretty funny and humorous. At first I didn’t mind, but after a while it gets annoying. Now, there is no way I can still look awesome with this head.

When I run or jump on my Asura my head often implodes into my neck. It’s like my neck is gone. This bug has been around for a while I believe and therefore I would ask; could this finally be fixed? It’d be much appreciated!
Also, it’s bugged in another way. Once we got to the phase where he applies the DoT, he can no longer have his shield removed. All mines instantly explode if you try to trigger them with ability 2 with the mine detector, instead of becoming landmines for him.
I’m sure this isn’t the first time this topic is raised. But when I walk around on my Asura my head implodes into my body. At first this seemed funny, but now it’s really affecting the fun of the game.
Fix please!
Confirmed… There are several other threads. This is severely affecting gameplay for thieves that have builds around this! Please fix.
For the thief class, Talent XII in the Critical Strikes tier no longer works after the patch. It gives you 100% critical strike chance on your first hit in stealth. It worked for me always just not now after the patch. Is there an internal cooldown now? Or is it a bug?

I’m going to revive this old thread since it hasn’t been fixed. Tried the mission twice now and there appear to be enemies “in the walls”. There is no enemy visibly left, but I did kill two in the wall before. I can’t find the last (I literally jabbed every piece of wall once with my melee attack to check).
Like this it has become a ridiculous task, and impossible. Please look into it.
Also in the quest “Liberating Apatia” after that, the champion witch should have the summon spell removed… Just throwing it out there.
Hm I’ll give that a try (after doing the 10 minute escort – AGAIN), but I’m pretty sure I’ll be knocked off the platform.

Yes, it was near impossible and bugged for me too. I did it over 15 times before I managed NOT to kill the main quest NPC (kill=delete). With a lot of stability and a tad bit of luck. After that, you get Liberating Apatia. Same quest, but now a champion mob.
Fix this please!
The part of the story line called “Liberating Apatia” is impossible now. The Krait champion at the end now summons adds that all knock you off the tower. If you kill them before they do so, they explode = instant death. Please, remove this spell again so I can complete my personal story, I’m sure this was NOT as intended.
This goes for the quest 2 before this one as well, where the veteran does the same but resets. But I managed to do it being a warrior with a ton of stability. Additionally, that boss resetted 90% of the time resulting in a frustrating 15 tries to do the quest. ADDITIONALLY, the final guy I had to free was most of the time gone, he disappeared.
Of course bugs in personal story might not be reported as much because you only do them once, but if there’s anyone doing this part they’ll know what I’m talking about.
Although Lysistrata is quite a long name (which I found Asura usually don’t have) the sound of it is still good. I particularly like the J(’)onzz part though, very Asuran!
My Asura engineer is called Stim Packs, after stimpacks from Starcraft, which is a combat drug that makes your units more efficient and reckless. Especially with all the bombs, mines, grenades and flamethrowers at my disposal I found this a suitable name!
