In the meantime, as stated, there are plently of things to still do. If you are having problems with finding things to do in game, thats not Anets fault, thats your own.
Good luck!
I’m not trying to blame Anet for lack of things to do! It’s just that the things that are available are the same things that we have been doing for months, even years. And there should be something they could quickly throw in to keep players active, right? cough Crown Pavillion cough ;D
But that hype can’t keep you playing a game you don’t find fun when you don’t even know the release yet :/
But but…isn’t HoT also Guild Wars 2? When it comes out, won’t you just play it a little, determine it is no longer fun, and then return here to re-hash this post? o.O
If you haven’t yet, try role playing a little! Go on patrol duty somewhere or become a nomad in the wilds chasing other players and shouting about your lawn!
I mean right now I don’t find GW2 fun. And if I quit I’m afraid that I won’t come back for HoT, which I’m really looking forward to Haha yeah that might be a breath of fresh air!
You can do:
1. Fractals
2. Season 2 Achievments
3. WvWvW
4. Hunt down Mystic Forge recipes (Spirit Crafter, Infinite Light, Wings of Dwayna, etc.)
5. Dungeons
6. Hunt skinsThere is no Living Story update releasing before HoT (although technically Restored Lions Arch was a living story update). Currently all of their attention is focused on HoT I believe, but I do also hope that some of the festivals happen, such as a Lions Arch reopening festival.
Also, whya re you playing if your not having fun???
But that’s stuff most players have already spent tons of hours doing, including myself :/ I realize they need to focus on HoT but I’m sad to say that it has happened before that a game company has spent so much more time focusing on an expansion than the current game that people stop playing until the release. And then when it gets released you don’t feel like buying it because “hey I don’t even play that game anymore, why should I buy the expansion?”. Right now I’m just logging in because I’m trying to keep interested until HoT. :/
I mean is it possible that the Crown Pavillion might open up, or that The Shatterer might get redone before HoT? I am loosing interest in GW2, super hyped about HoT! But that hype can’t keep you playing a game you don’t find fun when you don’t even know the release yet :/
Hey guys, with the new trailer this would be the perfect time to reintroduce him
Don’t think we’re getting a character just for the purpose of having each race, we have 2 Humans and still missing 1 Sylvari and 1 Charr, also who knows for how long Taimi is gonna stay so then we need to replace her too with another Asura.
Rox is a Charr, so only missing a Sylvari. Easy to make that mistake, this season Rox has been relegated mostly to background character so far.
Oh my god I can’t believe I just made that mistake, hahaha thanks for being an adult about it ^^
If you do think also that they didn’t know where they we’re going with the story so if you just think early season 1 the whole ‘E’ mystery does seem to match that voting:D

Would be neat if each of the NPCs had their own culturally relevant nickname for our characters. “Boss” sounds like something Marjory would say, Rox seems like the type who would use the “commander” title, Braham could say “champ”, while Taimi and Kasmeer… I can’t really imagine what they would use.
Kasmeer – ‘Sweetie’
Taimi – Probably ‘Boss’ too
Not gonna be a popular idea but WTH right? I get you, I really do, but characters that we can interact with are just so god kitten lame… I mean I don’t think it’s anything Anet has done wrong I just think that’s how it is for me and some other people. Reading about DE made the characters seem epic, but interacting with them in-game feels kind of, underwhelming? Distant characters are way more interesting, that’s why Scarlet has suddenly become a better character because A) We’re getting a little back story and B) She’s distant, we can’t see her, more mystery. If anything I would like if we followed a trail left by Dougal that led us somewhere, but probably a better idea for BL Homelands than Maguuma. One more example, Majory. Supercool in season 1 when we first started to meet her, kind of lame now in season 2.
My friend had a very god theory on this, do you remember when we voted for either Evon Gnashblade or Ellen Kiel, notice E or E. He suggested that Anet had the idea of E for a long time and whichever character lost/won would become E of the two
Then you could also ask why do we have races/skin color/politics if we could just skip it. Because it makes the world and people feel alive and varied. Personally I don’t feel THAT bad for Taimi about her legs, sure the fact that she won’t get so old is a bummer :/ But she can walk if she has to, has a golem to carry her, and usually prefers to just sit down and read anyway.
Also it’s not like ALL male characters are like Braham? That’s how most Norns act, male or female.
And Kasmeer + Majory feeling kind of forced because it’s a lesbian couple isn’t that true either, I feel most of the relationships in GW2 feel kind of cheesy and weird so this is no different just because of their homosexuality.

Maybe something about Snaff’s death or perhaps even Glint’s death. Maybe the Pale Tree told Caithe that if they tried they would die but she just brushed it off.
Logan: “Taimi, you’re coming with me to Rata Sum.”
Taimi: “Are you paying for the waypoints?”
Logan: “. . . well there goes my pay for the next year.”
So waypointing for 2 would be a years salary, that is probably a joke but obvisously it’s hinted that it is very expensive. If Anet ever did RP servers it would be very cool if waypoints would cost 1-5 gold to use.
Oh thanks Shiren, didn’t know they have been mentioned so much in the Living World, cheers:)
Also cool, found this written by the guy you linked:

Yes I said so, scouts. But frankly they’re only there to teach us how the game works so even if the waypoints weren’t a part of the universe they would still have to teach us about it.
So previously waypoints have been seen as more of a player convenience that an actual thing in the universe, almost the only ones with dialogue about it were scouts which are only there to guide new players to the game. In this patch we heard that the waypoints location is based on top of the laylines.
Do you think it’s good that Anet is trying to make waypoints a part of the universe or should they just have swooped it under the carpet as only a gameplay mechanic?
Personally I don’t understand how waypoints would work in the universe since if characters could use them why aren’t Inquest just waypointing to Rata Sum and attack from within, why aren’t traders waypointing from city to city, why didn’t the citizens of Lion’s Arch waypoint out whenever the city was attacked?

Hi, on Gandara EU the event “Search rubble for Deldrimor artifacts to give to Scholar Alil Rodez” is up, however Alil is not where she is supposed to be and you cannot give her the the artifacts. She does have the “Collect” icon or what you want to call it above her, but all she brings upp is a vendor screen.
Thanks for your time:)
From the short story about scarlet:
“Welcome, sapling.” The voice was kind, the tone gentle. “My name is Mender Serimon. You are safe here.”
Also:
“Sapling?” Serimon said. “I’m here to help you acclimate. To help you understand your place in this world and identify the purpose Pale Mother has given you.”
Her eyes remained fixed on on the complex living dance of the forest. “I’ll find my own place, thank you very much. And it’s hardly ‘my’ purpose if someone else gives it to me.”
—————-
This mender can be found and talked to in-game if I remember correctly. Also during queen’s Jubilee the asura that was helping us knew that she graduated from all the colleges.
Seems like she’s from our universe to me, nice theory tho!
Why is it, that if the person who entered explorable mode in a dungeon leaves, the rest of the party gets kicked out of the dungeon and the whole thing resets? This is something that really bothers me, especially since I was just doing the new TA path and this is exactly what happened in the middle of the clockheart fight. You don’t really feel like redoing all of it again and it kind of feels like you wasted a lot of time in the dungeon:(
