Wow, nice to know I’m not alone in this – the naming conventions.
In GW1, my main was a warrior named ‘Alisha Benn’. When I started GW2, I went with the ancestor bit: the new one is a warrior named ‘Aliana Benn’, and I made them look alike, as well.
It helps with keeping a bit of the familiarity of it, I suppose….
I’m new to the game (playing for about a week, main is lvl 10) and I was VERY impressed with, at least on the Kaineng Server, what appears to be a complete lack of the typical gold spammers and spam emails. Many games are haunted by them, this one hasn’t been (for me). Not a single one. No chat messages, either.
It’s very refreshing, and promises to make my stay in Tyria an extended one

New GW2 player here (main is lvl 10 warrior) and I’m looking for a roleplaying or PvE Social guild on the Kaineng Server.
I’m playing four characters (experimenting w/ different classes) but my main is currently a lvl 10 warrior. I’m on the East Coast USA and tend to play from 9pm to about 2am or so.
I am a serious RPer, with past experience in multiple games (EQ, DAOC, and others) and guilds. Large or small, if your guild is recruiting and prove to be a viable home for my character, please reply to this post and provide me with some contact information.

Nice try… bot. This is exactly the type of thread a bot would make. Even the name, Caragen, bunch of random letters thrown together if you ask me.
Also, I am hear by stating that I’m for this other bots idea of a toy banner.
See, that was the point, actually.
I understand that botting is a problem. But on Kaineng, it seems that there is a small but very LOUD group of players who spend the bulk of their time running around accusing EVERYONE of being a bot. Everyone who isn’t playing like them, hunting like them, looking like them….
I’m stunned at the foolishness of it all. These select few have accused players actively engaged in a quest as being ‘bots’.
I just find it terribly deranged and paranoid. Apparently there are some players on the server who would much rather run around demonstrating their immaturity, rather than questing.
Go figure….
Silly me: I expected a more mature player base.
I know, silly topic…
But what I’d REALLY want for virtual Christmas (but will never receive) is a big huge virtual sign that my warrior can hold up in the air when I sit her down to dash off and change laundry from washer to dryer:
“Yo… I’ve sat my character down in this courtyard while I change laundry.. I am NOT a Bot… Please go be psychotically paranoid with someone else…” <grins>
Just a thought…..
No chat text at all, so I’m not selling anything. Plus.. sheesh, I’m a warrior. Do warrior toons make good bots? I can’t imagine that….
