What would GW2 be like with trinity?

In Anet’s attempt to get away from the trinity, they only managed to make everyone be DPS.

Man, I’d love playing a defensive-ish warrior type, but it’s not “optimized” and “slows down everyone and is a detriment to the party.” :<

Well in other mmorpg that what every class is its a support and dps its a tank and dps its a dps and dps (lol) it just dose not work to have a class that cant do any thing when it comes to dmg. So GW2 is not doing any thing new letting all classes have a dps build what they are doing that is different is letting all thoughts class have a tank and support build with out over specialization.

In a way its odd you can only win a fight is by doing dmg in all rpgs you cant talk out of a fight like say a game of D&D it may be just the limitation of what a video game can do vs what a person imagination can do.

Yea, there’s a reason I dropped WoW some time ago to get into D&D. x>

Working on a Rifle build for PvP

To be honest, the first bout of WvW I played was very intimidating, as I have no gear for it and the first zerg I was a part of made me realize that I should really get a new graphics card, as my FPS went down to being unplayable.

And thanks for the input! If I wasn’t as content with survival right now I’d switch those ten points over, right now I’m a bit more concerned with with downing the other person and survivability has been pretty alright so far.

This is what I’m tentatively thinking about running now, but I’m a bit wary of using signets as they’re good markers to what I have up/don’t have up at the moment: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQNAU3ejgOpwBP6OMxBkzjAcJaC1D7YDjjUBxA-T0Ag0CnIUSpkTJjSSlsKNsYVwmgDCPLA

Working on a Rifle build for PvP

I’ve recently found that I really enjoy the way the rifle works for warriors, and been trying to build around it in sPvP.

Right now is what I’ve been playing, but I’m currently changing it up after looking around at what other people have been doing: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQJAURjgOpwtQyQMxBkzjAcJaC1D8YDbjUBxA-ToAg0CnI4SxljLDXSuscNsYZB

Completely forgot about Burst Mastery, and I’ve been using the GS mostly as a way to get around quickly. Using stances + vigorous focus has been mostly a life-saver when up in close quarters (which I keep finding myself, still working on staying farther away!).

Currently thinking about including Signet of Might, and swiching Vigorous Focus to Signet Mastery, but I’m worried about cutting through my survivability and rage generation that I get from Zerker’ Stance.

Also looking into using an Axe + Shield for my off-hand set, don’t know why I didn’t think of that the first time around, so that should help survivability and add some stunning as well.

I think that’s the gist of it for the most part. With this build I’ve been able to sink a few 10k+ Kill Shots on folks, though not as often as I’d like to, and it’s been very enjoyable to play.

Looking for advice/insights, I’m a relatively new player to GW2, only about level 24 on my Charr Warrior and haven’t touched WvWvW hardly any.
