Being on IoJ I can say that this week will most likely be Mag vs Yaks. All WvW guilds from IoJ have left. Only guild really making an appearance is Templars [PwN] which i can say isnt even a WvW guild but we supplied the most players to WvW today

A good strategy is to just build snowman and catapults all over the map. As soon as you pick up the material build it on the spot. This will distract the mobs as they spawn. Only a few, if any, will get through

You couldn’t be more wrong. Toypocalypse is sPvP style party. I did a round with at least 8 people.

I think the Wintersday Achievements are bugged. Or at least some of them are. I was doing Toypocalypse just got dc’ed after the 7th round. Got back on game and did it again. Got to round 8 and the achievement popped up. The achievement needed 50 and I only did 15.

I agree. These minis (‘cept the quaggan) should be tradeable.
I have multiple of them too by now. I’d like to give them to others who need them or want them but can’t efford.

Trading would be perfect. I have extra Mini Infirium and no Mini Festive Golem (the christmas lights) and a guildmate has extra Mini Festive Golem and no Mini Infirium.

The mini christmas quaggan is from the winterday boxes in the gem shop. Well you don’t get it in the quaggan from them but you get the other 3 minis. You can use any combination of the 3 minis in the Mystic Forge with 50 wads of stuffing and it makes the quaggan.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Its actually not that much smaller than other minis.

I’m guessing you either haven’t logged in during the Winterday event, or perhaps you are blind – the toy minis are huge.

I have logged in during the event obviously because I’m talking in this thread about the holiday minis. They are small, nothing needs to be bigger. If you want them to be bigger just become a Ranger and get a pet

It was bugged this morning with the 3 times Toxx thing. Toxx didn’t actually spawn 3 times it just told you to attack it.

But when i beat it at 10am PST when it came out I got the correct reward so did my guildmates the following 3 hours whenever I helped them do it

Its not hard to beat them. Just have to use aoe damage on them. I beat them fairly easy on my warrior.

Don’t think there is any purpose to it.

But while up there you can watch the other people do the jumping puzzle. Not great but still a thing to do up there

The exchange rate for gems is ridiculous right now. Not sure if i want to waste that much gold just to get them.

The worst part is with the toy minis. We only get enough cogs to make 2 of the 5, which means if we want all 5 we have to buy the 3 we don’t make from the gem store.

I completely agree. I bought 20 of the Wintersday Boxes from Gem Store. Ended up getting 5 Mini Infirium, and a Mini Snowman. I mean i was still able to get the Mini Quaggan I still have an extra Infirium that I wish i could trade for a Festive Golem so I can have all of them

Yea me and a friend spent maybe a good 45 mins in there looking for something else to break. Finally couldnt find anything so we ran the dungeon again and she got it that way

That doesnt count. Cant break it. Sometimes it bugs and even if you destroy everything it doesnt count it. Might have to go back in and do it again.

Try looking all over for a tree. When helping a guildmate of mine get the achievement there was a tree hidden behind the replica of Hoelbrek or however its spelled.(Norn Town)

The only thing bugged was the fact that it told me that it was time to fight Toxx twice before i was actually supposed to fight it. But I was able to complete it just fine.

Have actually done it about 5 times already today.

What people don’t seem to understand is that all your xmas recipes are culturally specific. Since GW2 is global and not local, introducing recipes that are related to a specific culture would be stupid. Your perception of xmas is not as everyone else.

Long Bow made out of Rudolph’s Antlers (arrows glow red to lead the way)
Candy Cane Staff/Scepter
Hammer that has 2 present boxes on the end and a candy cane shaft
Mace done as a snowglobe on a stick type of thing o.O not much you can really do with a mace look wise o.O
Shield that would look like a peppermint

To the HoD players who kept coming in and attacking supply camps in the southern half of IoJ borderlands, I commend you and would like to give you all props for trying. I don’t remember the tags of you 3 who tried to take lodge against me (Elementalist from [VI]) but you gave me something to do.

I’m about 75% sure that I was one of them. We usually have a small group of about 10 that runs around and just takes random supply camps. We feel that if we can’t win the war might as well have some fun and mess with the leaders.

Worse than I thought. I assumed IoJ would be doing better than this.

This will be a fight between SoS and IoJ. With SoS taking it. Most of the good people on HoD left right after we started losing. Hasn’t been the same since. As of right now SoS has 1300, IoJ has about 650 and HoD is only at 200 something. I predict this is going to be a long week for HoD players…..

ANet needs to figure out a better way to group servers in fights. Too many weeks in a row where there is always a clear winner.
