I have all the mat for my Ascended Weapon besides Obsidian Shards. I am trying to access Tactician Deathstrider at the Cathedral of Glorious Victory in Straits of Devastation but my server failed at getting it controlled last night. I, also, failed at guesting on two other servers.

So I am hoping that someone could check to see if their server has the Cathedral under control and post which server you are on. I am not sure if it matters or not, but I am on an American server.

I started my ranger because I have always played either a healer or a range dps class. I keep hearing Rangers are really low dps when it comes to PvE. Comparing my ranger/thief/warrior, I would tend to agree.

What I am asking, are rangers on the low end of dps when they are geared/spec’d for LB/SB? If they arent, how should I trait my ranger?

What professions are high range dps?

This weekend I was visiting a friend. We had little downtime and decided to play GW2.

I sat down at his second computer and entered my user name and password and I received the following message:

“E-mail Authentication
You’ve enabled e-mail authentication for this account. Since you’re logging in from a new IP address, you’re required to authenticate using the e-mail that has been sent to you. Please click the link provided to authenticate this log-in.

WAITING FOR AUTHENTICATION…"

I don’t remember enabling e-mail authentication, I don’t have a problem with it. My issue is that I never received the authenticating email. I tried logging in 20 times (yes I counted) and never received the email. I tried finding a solution in the forums, with no luck. Finally, I said screw it I will work on this issue when I get back to my place.

How do I get the emails to come through (they weren’t in my junk folder and I checked my blocked list)?

Can I disable/enable the email authentication as I please?

I am going to my friend’s place next weekend again and would like to be able to play my GW2 account if we decide too.

This last weekend I went to create my guild’s emblem. I opened the window and started to work my way through the backgrounds, colors and symbol. The bug was that when ever I selected one of the above options it would not show up in the preview window. I tried various combonations, but nothing showed in the preview window. I figured it was bugged, so I just closed out the window.

The next morning, I logged on to work on the emblem. I no longer had the option to create. I checked the guild window and low and behold, my guild had an emblem. Some how it saved what I had been working on. Now my guild has some random guild emblem.

Is there a way to edit or reset the guild emblem, so I can get the emblem we wanted?
I know i could restart the guild but we are small (6 members) and it takes us awhile to get influence built up.
