Guild Wars 2

Bah – never occurred to me that it might be the game; I assumed my mouse was shot and got a new one New G700 working fine with sampling at ~500, but old Logitech wireless 150 (I think; it’s gone now) …same as above.

I need to wipe my hard drive and reinstall Windows 7 (maybe on a new physical drive), but don’t want to kill my characters!! Is it sufficient to back up the Guild Wars 2 folder from My Documents, or do I need the whole .dat file from the Program Files? Any other GW2 data that I’ve missed?

pt 2 – my external HD, although there’s plenty of space, says the .dat file is too big to transfer. If this file isn’t merely the downloaded data (which I can download again) but is something that I need to save – any ideas?
