Thanks, I’m trying to find the peak now. I figure the prices have already started to balance out a bit and if what warblah says is true, then I guess I’m still making a hefty profit by selling now.

And yes tluv, I was hoping to manipulate it a little bit.

I bought a good 20 or so gold worth yesterday hoping that today the prices would jump since the supply will be cut short. Not only is the supply cut short, but people are using the glue and stuffing to create endless tonics. Ask around for the exact recipes, but it’s definitely taking some of the supply out of the market. In the past hour since it came out, the price has jumped about 10 copper per piece (from ~40c), and I can only expect it to get higher so I would recommend you buy now while you still have the chance.

Any thoughts?

EDIT: sold it all now! made a good profit =) hopefully it was a good decision to sell now and not later.

It might be a bug because a guildy linked a greatsword and I was able to view it as an Elementalist…

I’m short:
16 waypoints
36 pois
13 vistas

1 vista and 2 pois are in the wvw map, but I have no idea where the others are.
I’ve completed malchor’s leap, strait of devestation, cursed shores, and frostforge sound btw. So, what am I missing here?

Pvp is one of those things where you will learn more as you play. Don’t expect to win a lot at first. If you want to make it fun, you have to change your mindset into ‘that you did well if you see yourself improving rather than worrying about how everyone is better than you’. There are many different builds you can use, and because of that, it can be hard to find a lot of in depth guides on how to play your profession since nobody really has a “best” build. But, if you take the time to watch guild wars 2 streamers especially teams like team paragon, you can find some good guides/builds there.

I know this has probably been stated a million times, but I’m just concerned with the difficulty of giganticus (hope I spelled that right). I don’t mind difficult fights, but when you are trying to farm (farming isn’t a bad thing in mmo’s, please stop acting like it is) something for tokens and want to be able to bring a random pug group; it’s just downright frustrating unless you take the time to pull him out to a waypoint for quick revives. If anyone has some tips on what I could tell a pug group to get the boss down in like 30 minutes or less that would be great, but I’m assuming it’s one of those fights you just have to have a lot of experience with. Post any thoughts etc. etc.

Its very hard to make a profit flipping in this market. The 15% fee really hinders flips that would otherwise be amazing

Nope, I’ve made around 5 gold or so already, and I’m getting better.

I’ll post this thread for those looking to understand how the trading post works.

First, I have a question:
I notice that if you sell 100 or buy 100 of an item as opposed to 250, your trades go through almost immediately. I tested this by first buying 250 of an item and then buying 100 of that same item. I found that 100 of those items were sold to me immediately while the other 250 took around 15min+. If anyone has more info. on why this might be, please place a post.

And for those of you who want to know what I know so far:
1) There is a 15% cut on all sales (5% of it is the listed price that you cannot get back by removing your post and 10% from a hidden sales tax.
2) People tend to buy/sell a lot of items by simply matching the lowest sell/highest buyer respectively, you can take advantage of that. As for which items can be bought low and sold high in the most efficient manner takes a little work to figure out.
3) Items that have a huge supply tend to flip for a quick, but small profit. Items with lower supply tend to sell for a much larger profit but also take longer.
4) Buying a variety of items will prevent major losses, unless the whole market were to
crash.
5) DO NOT sell items that are close to the vendor price. With a 15% fee it may just be easier to sell to the vendor.
