Druid Power Build

Depends on what do you want to focus on.
For healer purposes, Staff+LB is the superior option.
For maximizing the DPS – LB+S/A
For roaming and mobility – Staff+GS

The difference of GS to S/A was said to be around 17% (not sure now)? In practice it can have more damage than sword because you are not forced to dodge roll often – increasing Steady Focus uptime just like it doesn’t postpone your rotation. It also allows you to focus more on what’s happening around you and not your bloody clunky attacks that will kill you once you stop paying 40% of your attention to them.

If you are not familiar with Sword Mechanics – get Greatsword for sure. The difference of DPS is basically mathematical. Not realistic. There are many fights where you can bring reality to match theoretical maths results but Sebetha is definitely not one of those and I wouldn’t dare exclude Vale Guardian here, either.

So you would say then for HoT and fractals up to 50 I would be safe with a Great Sword? but beyond that go for support build for sure? Sorry just to be clear

Druid Power Build

Hello,
I’m currently running a power build for my druid with longbow + Sword/Axe … my question is how much of a dps difference is there switching the sword/axe with a great sword. I have an ascended GS I had made previously for another character and wondering if Its viable to use… Maybe there are other benefits or other weapon combinations that would work better with the power druid?

Thanks in advance!

Do you guys have a good power build that doesn’t use a sword/sword, sword/pistol (i.e the one on the metabattle site)… I really like the GS and the staff if thats possible to incorporate

Hi, Here is my first attempt at making a build on my own despite playing a Mesmer since I started playing this game a year ago. I tried to go for a sort of hybrid build and I am curious what you guys think of it, what changes should be made, maybe things are fitting together that I don’t see and maybe different armor etc… I would love to hear your opinions, constructive criticism and even your builds that are working for you!

I really don’t know what I am doing hahaha

Builds while grinding Chronomancer?

If you are trying to grind out the Chrono general PVE does not require anything specific and you can choose what you enjoy for the most part, whatever that weapon set may be and what build you think you may enjoy. For other parts of GW2 depends on whether you are using a power, hybrid or condi build.

I overall feel like a lot of people on the forums are complaining because things have not been handed to them on a silver platter. I am a casual player and am pretty happy with the way hero points, elite spec and masteries were done.
2 days ago I spend 1 in game and managed to unlock my elite spec, and 2 more down the line which is reasonable and still have many more hero challenges to do that can get me the rest of the way with pretty minimal effort. The name pretty much gives it away: It is supposed to be the elite that have the full spec, god help us that it takes some time and effort…
Masteries as well I spent 2 hours and got to mastery 10, not bad if you ask me… I think this expansion has been great and shouldnt be scaled down to make it easier. I know I wouldn’t bother with doing hero challenges which have been pretty fun to find if there wasn’t this incentive, also got me looking around the map and taking in how beautiful it really is. So great job!

How would you rate the HoT Fun Factor?

I’m rather casual but I think the way they have done this expansion is awesome.
The new area is challenging but very beautiful, makes me want to work with other players.
9/10 for me… Would be 10/10 if I could get my scrapper traits a little quicker though I do appreciate not having everything handed to me on a silver platter.
