Can we have some info from ANET please? I’m getting this bug on daily basis, usually after 1-2 hours of playing in any of WvW maps. First symptom is invisible NPC characters, then I’m getting 1-3 minutes long loading screens when I use waypoint and after that I can’t see my weapons.
I never had this issue before but now since last patch I’m getting this error few times a day while playing mostly WvW. There is nothing wrong with my network connection as far I know – I’m not getting kicked from TS – just from GW2 server.
There is quite simple solution for this. We can all agree that fighting is as important in WvW as capping objectives so why not just multiply PPT score of each server by kill/death ratio of that server?
In this case we would went from:
AM (de): 188.041
VS (fr): 187.808
FSP: 175.722
to:
AM (de): 105.302 (188.041 * 0.56)
VS (fr): 93.904 (187.808 * 0.5)
FSP: 351.444 (175.722 * 2.0)

To ANET: why don’t you throw a golem rush event as bonus for every reset day while you’re riding that wave of amazing ideas of yours?

I’m planning to transfer my account to different server next week and I’m concerned about my 1-person guild with vault filled with crafting materials (mostly 250+ level stuff). Could anyone tell me if I’m going to loose all that when I transfer or will my guild (and guild vault) be transferred with me to new server?

To FoW/Underworld players.
Do you know what’s going to change when Blacktide will move up to T8 and one of T8 servers will drop and start playing against you? Nothing is going to change. That server will have so far greater population than you both combined that they will will keep all 3 BLs and EB in their hands all the time.
The situation will not be any different than it was for us just the 4-5 weeks ago when 30+ man blobs from FoW/Underworld were chasing our 5-15 man parties back to spawn points and showing great sportmanship with such crap behavior like using /dance or /laugh emotes or when we were down to just our keep in EB you had no problems sending all your forces (50+ man giant blob) against maybe 10-15 people and still you had to use camera fov exploit to destroy all the siege behind our walls.
So yeah, good luck next week.

But how many of those players can resurrect themselves? Yesterday I saw bodies lying on the floor healing even that there was bunch of us nuking entire area around them. There is no way thief could keep stealth for full minute and survive all the damage but yeah – dead bodies got healed and run away like nothing has happened :-/
I have a friend who around 6 year ago was working as programmer for small game developer. They were using really old engine which was still using DirectX 7 and was told by his lead to take a look at DirectX 9 documentation and see if it’s possible to add it to engine.
He alone was able to add DirectX 9 render to this engine in less than 6 months time.
Engine != renderer guys. Engines can support more than one render without major changes to engine itself. I’m working for quite big game studio (not as big as Arena) and our in-home made engine supports: DirectX9, 11 and OpenGL, PS3, PS4, Xbox360, Xbox One and WiiU and I’m pretty sure that render team is already looking into DX12.

Profession: Warrior and Guardian
Armor Set: Dreadnought helmet only
Repro steps:
1. Create new warrior or guardian Charr character.
2. Equip Dreadnought helmet.
3. Use Total Makeover Kit and pick one of the new Charr face types. The one that looks like lion.
Result: The cheeks/nose will clip through the helmet.
Can you pass this to art team? This is so far the best looking Charr helmet and most of the new faces are causing this issue.
