Update: Finally beat Liadri on my ranger.

just used longbow and short for vuln and condition
didnt bother with pets or blocks

just used passive signets and dodged a ton

Yeah thats where i got my builds from,though most relied on pet luck with short invuln signet time or unreliable spirits/weps

I think my problem is that I dont have time to attack and am mostly just dodging due to not being able to constantly face her

Thanks I found that out the hard way from seeing other classes videos dropping her hp with ease.

not having pets for 95% of the fight is abit annoying,guess ill have to try traps
I saw one ranger say he did it with spirit to insta res,then shortbow bleed to death but still hard to use sb at all as u have to face her press target and shoot while stopping to roll or move outta aoe/foes

I’m mainly a lvl 80 ranger myself and have tried least 100 times on liadri so far.

At first I started with passing phase 1 but then having no option to attack and running out of time
(was using gs for orbs,and longbow)

Since pets instant die since “dodge” isnt in their vocab,basing trait/damage on your pets and them not dieing instantly is like RNG legendaries 2 time in a row haha.

After many attempts I realised that longbow wasnt fast enough to hit enough to kill more than 75% before the time limit, I decided to move to shortbow for condition and sword/warhorn for boosts and melee etc

I think time limit is quite annoying as Ranger is a constant damage over time rather then burst dps and run type. (also having to face her unlike some other classes is abit annoying.

I have traited for dodges and dodge food but i cant dodge forever because of the time limit
Pet and my Longbow (kudzu ) are useless in this fight (my opinion) as longbow cant attack enough b4 u have to run away/face away or dodge aoe/minions

I’m thinking of trying aoe traps next but seems risky as i would then have no invuln (invuln signet) aswell as not being sure they would have enough dps

Note : closest i got with longbow was about 1/2 hp and ran outta time.
Closest with anything else has been around the same either running outta time or ran outta dodge for 1/2 arena aoes

I’ll add more info I’ve collected and figured out about ranger at later date to help others but as I stand atm it may be faster to make a another guard/mesmer to beat it for me easier.

Anywho.. Anyone help as to how to beat with ranger?

Why not a skill that rallies the pet? Pet problem solved.
Now to fix the Ranger.

I’ve had the Endless Halloween tonic for many months and have no option to sell as it has been bugged since I got it.

Also could we have them updated to have the other Halloween transforms that aren’t in it?
Would be nice to have all the holiday transforms in one endless tonic per holiday.(or even combine them.

Im currently at lvl 40 on my main.
My question is can I still get my 4 chances for a ring each day or is it now limited to one because of the new reward level system?

I’ve gotten nearly everything else for my legendary,but the precursors has always been out of my reach.for example when kudzu was 60g i had 50g,when it hit 120g a little while later i had 90,now that has happened to the point where some1 bought up or either removed their listings to make the sellers price over 400g now.Personally I dont play the market or gamble but I find this a tad annoying that i cant finish my precursor because of price manipulation or w/e.

Yes, welcome to diminishing returns. If you find yourself in a good group and just smashing your way through dungeons then anet would like you to stop after 4. You’re not allowed to do more than 4 dungeons in 2 hours or you will suffer from DR. DR does not affect everyone, only those who have practised and can do dungeons with ease. In other words… Bad Chinnaru! Stop getting better at the game.

Just did my daily for AC and got 45 tokens instead of 60.Is that meant to happen,both me and my friend got 45

Sadly different classes can make it much easier.

Take party of guardians for example.

They have multiple reflect skills which help reflect both shaman agony and the immobilization effect from the lava sluggies.

The theives blindness aoe wall also works but I doubt the cooldown is as low as guardians skills.

The theif and guardian aoe reflect helps the whole party where as my reflect I dont even use as it is horrible.
This is coming from a ranger,I looked through my skills and wep skills and found a reflect on my axe skill.though it doesn’t work some of the time and only absorbs the attack.

Back to shaman tips.

The boss is easy to dodge agony or reflect it with guardians.The hard part is when the eles come in the 3 times (or more if he heals)

If the shaman is far from the man who he is aiming for(the one who yells out)
you dont have to take his shield straight away,positioning in the centre can take out the guess work.
Next you take out as many eles as possible,reflects help.
Aoe skills help damage them when they bunch up.Also you can rally off them and target one when you are downed for the party to kill.
When the shaman gets within 8-10 seconds from the man(depending on if he is crippled or not) take out his shield.
Now the next part you need the clear the eles before returning to beating the boss.
Maybe have one keep attacking as boss sometimes can reset.
Also if someone downs,dont all rush to him as 1 fire storm could wipe the party.

I think ive typed enough to be of some use.

I tried relogging but it keeps looking like this:

1.They are Exotic Fractal skins with no stats apart from damage

I think you start getting the skins around scale 20

“I got a hammer and shield from dailies on the same day. Problem is my main is ele and my alts are Mesmer and eng.”

You can always make a guardian.Blue or purple themed would suit the weapons

I have gotten 3 skins from fotm (scale 39,around 400 completed)
They were great sword, spear gun and scepter I got today

I believe the higher you go the more likely you are to get a skin,as the case is with rings.

I’ve always gotten my skins from bonuses,so doing dailies is probably better then spamming the same levels over and over aswell as having more dailies is higher chance.

Its hard to say for me right now but

Griffon (I also enjoy jumping around as one aswell)
Ventari
Doll (the dance is pretty cool,although the noises can get irritating)
Toy Golem and soldier are least favorite as of right now

Im planning to make the griffon mini once i get another frame
The tonics are quite fun but i wouldn’t gamble them to try get the toymaker :s

I’ve done some research and apparently tommorow you will be able to get more frames for the tonic but the cogs are restricted apart from the few hundred people may have missed due to bugs or missing the day.

So whats the deal with the tonic,I managed to get it during halloween and it doesent say account bound or soulbound and is now sellable on tp apparantly.

But I cant sell mine as it doesent come up

I dont really wish to sell the tonic but I’m just wondering why I am not able to sell it at all

Is it because I have used it and it has some sort of invisible soul binding?

No it does not. The number of craftable pets is limited by how many cogs people can get (currently assumed to be a maximum of 500). Therefore, people would still only be able to make 2. Yes, theoretically people could craft 5 tonics and 2 pets vs needing to buy all 5 because they made tonics, but it doesn’t dent the sale of 3 that seems to be the original plan, nor would the 2 minis be sellable to other players since they are account bound, so it doesn’t affect what anyone else would spend either.

Precisely,And I believe many have used their frame for the mini instead of the tonic before knowing about the tonic and having both via gem store and frame for tonic.

Having the frames for the tonics would not affect gem store sales in any way.

Well 3/4 of the legendary making is money,so if legendary were not money based,no1 would need to farm endless amount of cash

Will there be a chance to get ventari or other frames again if you used to make a mini before finding out about the tonics?

I dont mind not getting more cogs but you cant buy the tonics on gemstore so as of right now its impossible to get ventari tonic if you have made mini already.

(I know about the 4 endless to make a different endless but I’m trying to get all 5 )

I doubt they’ll unbind them for economy reasons.
Only the devs know if they’ll be back next year.
Only the devs know if they’ll make a 3 pack (probably not at this point – too many have spent a lot of money on the RNG gem boxes that there would be an outrage.)

I highly doubt we’ll get duplicate toy frames.

If you’re buying the Wintersday gift boxes from the TP, they’re not the ones you want to open to try to get minis. They drop mostly ugly trade-ins, snowflakes, skins (which are way cheaper on the TP), the tonic and the unbreakable bell.

Just finished this fractal.
-First attempt he bugged after his first stun (no adds spawned, steal took 0 damage as it should so we couldn’t AoE it down during this attempt).
-Second attempt boss started at 75%, we got the seal down to 0 (it had no visible health left, we had hit it 4 times), then about 15+ adds spawned, the bosses AoE started to hit the area even though he was still stunned, the hammer wouldn’t charge skill 4, even after killing multiple enemies before we all died. Just to clear that up a little bit, after the 4th stun/seal hit, THEN the 15+ adds spawned (on top of the few adds that were still up from the 4th stun). The seal took 0 damage from AoE attacks (as it should) during this attempt.
-Third attempt the boss started at 25%, we stunned him once, and the seal took AoE damage and let us complete the encounter with only the one boss stun (via AoE damage to the seal, no one touched the hammer).

This was on lv 10 btw (not that it probably matters).

This is the problem I had aswell but our group had no idea as to what to do when boss doesent reset or add stay and multiply.

And near the end we all got kicked (I assume from adds spawning over and over omtop of each other

Maw is much easier for me than any other boss,even with all the broken armour at the end.

Just have to stay together dodge tents and lasers if you can’t get a crystal.

Also u dont have to use the crystal if thats the last one,You can just drop it for some1 else

Personally I would steer clear of this until these bugs are fixed.

Cliffside is quite bugged right now.I’m steering clear of it as I don’t have any trust in whether the bug is going to be there or not each time.

Thanks for the feedback Rising Dusk.I see your point of view as well.Just abit frustrating doing 30 4 times in a row and someone getting dced each time and having to restart, especially on 3rd or maw.

I’m not going to do cliffside untill the bugs are fixed so I’ll have to reset each time we get it,even if its 3rd

I got my first at 20 uninfused then didnt see a ring for a week.Now im lvl 35 without any infused rings haha

I feel your pain…. a group I typically run with was down to the last few percentages on the last golem of the Asura boss (we were doing fractal 19 and that would’ve finished it), but then the person who made the fractal DC’ed and it actually booted us all out.

Needless to say it was incredibly demoralizing

This has happened to me before aswell at maw on 30.

Also the bug when the bots go invuln permanently is annoying as hell

This is the kind of thing that makes me consider not even bothering with my monthly this time around – I just don’t want to do Fractals.

Yeah I wish I was just ignorant to this dungeon completely from the start.

I would say I’d stop playing but i won’t most likely,i’ll just be annoyed at the rng ring drama and the mass of bugs inside and hope the wintersday thing isnt a flop.

Just did a run and mobs kept spawning and spawning until game kicked us.
Also on wipe the boss didnt reset hp nor did the mobs disapear.

Just tried to do 30 again,3rd one was cliffside… the most bugged out thing ever.

We stun him and adds spawn but we failed first time,we come back and adds hadnt despawned nor the bosses hp,then he kept spawning more and more until we were kicked from instance and game.

This has been a massive waste of my time and ingame money.

This is the worst experience ive had in gw2 so far. :/

Just spent ages doing 3 rounds of fractal at 30 then got maw down to last hit and ..
I get kicked outta the game..

I’ve spent the last week doing dailies and managed to do dailies the whole week without a single ring.

and after this week of no ring I get and uninfused and now this dc.

Well I’m sure more have been worse off and such but this is a kick in the kitten.

Does it matter if i do 18 and 28 etc instead of 10 and 20

Is there any higher chance for my daily to get a ring?

I’ve gotten my 200 fractal achievement and have only seen 2 rings
Is that because ive been doing 10 and 20 instead or am I having bad luck haha

Since the new dungeon aswell as map chat always clutter with “LFG’s” maybe have a new chat option/tab for people who are looking for groups.

And to sort your contacts we could have tabs in contacts. Such as “Irl friends” “guildies” “dungeoneers” etc.

This would make finding groups and parties easier aswell as sorting contacts list.

Any other suggestions similar post below

Finished hopping stones puzzle just now
It was awesome,u had to time jumping across rocks and it was soooo long puzzle :O

I just had this twice but my party disappeared and then after we got to boss it kicked us from the dungeon :s.

Finally got back in and guilds are back,can someone explain why the party and guilds disappeared?

I’ve tried to do AC path 2 twice today but the party disappears and we can’t use targets or see each other on map,then after awhile it kicks us all and my guilds are gone.I decided to relog but now can’t log back in :s.
