Aussie LFGuild (PvE)

Hi there,

Server preference: I’m presently on Blackgate but am happy to move onto any server…
Play Type Preference: My interest is primarily PvE but I dabble a little bit in WvW
Player Style: Probably leaning towards a balanced player
Active Time: I’m in Melbourne/GMT+10, and generally have time to game most days from say 7pm till 11pm (give or take)…
Voice preference: I’ve use Vent or Teamspeak
Social preference: Probably small to medium sized guild just so I’m not overwhelmed with sheer amount of guild chat and trying to get to know people… My previous GW2 guild had about 100 – 150 people and I rather enjoyed the dynamic of that…

Some general info about me: I’m a pretty laid back guy who have played a number of other MMOs over the years (WoW, SWTOR, Tera, FF14), typically being a healer and occasionally tanking. I generally try to be helpful and would like to get to know new people and say hi and whatnot. I had played GW2 at launch but subsequently moved onto other games after a few months with some friends… Lately I’ve started up GW2 again and am rather enjoying levelling up my 2nd character with a close friend (had level 80 guardian and now am a level 33 elementalist). My original guild has since moved on and aren’t active anymore, so I’m hoping to find another active guild to do some PvE stuff time to time and also to chit chat on guild chat so that the game doesn’t feel all that lonely…

Hi there Gaile,

I have a support ticket that was closed (without my knowledge – I didn’t even get an email to indicate ticket was closed) and I am hoping you can look into for me…

This is to do with character names – I have a preferred name I’d like to use and I’ve had responses from a few different employees of Arenanet, one of whom looked into it and agreed the name should NOT be banned by the system and he/she was going to reply back to me once they have investigated it. I knew this issue isn’t of “high priority” so I thought to give it a couple of weeks… and when I logged in this morning to “update” the ticket for a response (since it had been over 2 weeks since an update from you guys), I was surprised to see the ticket got closed without notification, even though your fellow employees promised to come back to me with a response…

I am happy to open a new ticket but am loathed to go through all the standard procedures (eg. please read XYZ to make sure your name conforms to the rules, then having to go through each rule one by one again to explain why the rules are not infringed upon – all of this have been covered in the abovementioned ticket number along with the responses from various GMs).

If there is anything you can do to re-open the ticket and follow up for me that will be great… even if it’s “we’re still looking into it”…
